This video IS funny. I'm a type 1 diabetic and I'm studying film directing. Steel Magnolias is well-written and directed, and Roberts gives an accurate portrayal of hypoglycaemic shock. People should calm down. It's possible for something to be well-performed and still be made fun of. Remember sling blade? I am very aware of the effects of my disease, but I can still find humour in it. Like when my pump malfunctions and tries to kill me. If you can see the funny side, then life is much fuller.

I can imagine how it must feel since my dad has type 1 diabetes as well (diagnosed at age 35 which you probably know is quite rare) and I was diagnosed with type 1 at age 7. I worry about him all the time since my parents are split up and he can't afford an insulin pump (which I have) or a continuous glucose monitor (which I also have) and he doesn't check himself as much as he probably should. At least this made me laugh!:) Thanks!

Ok gotta say that that was pretty funny ! Insulin reactions are very serious yes but for all of us who have heard our friends and relatives repeat these words over and over in an effort to get through to us...its irritating but also quite funny. As agreed those nasty foggy low haze yucky places are the pits and you do sit there wondering how come your friend or family have uttered those drink the juice words so freakin many times but hey in the end they do cause they care right. Everyone of us who are type 1's at some point have a good friend or relative pull us out of one of those horrible dangerous low haze places called " yuck " or more like very dangerous "yuck". I even had to run home when we were on a walk once to get her something so she could stand up straight. You guys are assholes making fun of it like that.
