  • I like the intro of the track nice and smooth! -_- ZZZZZzzzzz

  • One of the best songs ever written from any genre

  • guys where can get the instrumentals?

  • She lived from nigger to coloured, negro, black to afro then african american then right back to nigger

  • at first i hated this hiphop artist but then i began to listen to the words... deep shyt

  • i was in highschool when this brilliant album came out & it officially converted me to "underground" hiphop. However, i only got into Nina Simon abt 3 yrs ago and NEVER heard her song. So, now i heard it for the 1st time on the BET Black Girls Rock special. LOVED IT. Found out it was originally by Nina. And i would be singing along, wondering where i heard these phrases before until i realized...TALIB! THIS WHOLE SONG WAS A REMAKE OF "4 Woman" thus called "For Women" HE IS A FLIPPIN GENIUS!!!!!

  • ive had this album for years and didnt know that this hidden track was on there. . .its and amazing song

  • @blazed12many welcome to the world now go and listen the hell out of it like i did wen i discovered 3months after buying it it was a hidden Gem.

  • One of the greatest albums I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.

  • i like the begining beat better its sick as fuck

  • the original was a great song, this version is amazing too.

  • beautiful lyrics. on the sidenote. im quite confused bout the NINA SIMONE INFO. he said:

they used to call her Mother Antie

    She said No Mrs.

    Just Antie

She said if anybody ever called her Antie

she'd burn the whole goddamn place down

i dont get it. she said to call her ANTIE, so why would she burn this place down?

  • @herpherpderpherpderp They called Nina Simone's mother Antie. Nina Simone then said if anyone called her Antie, she'd burn the whole place down.

  • @herpherpderpherpderp i first didn't get this line too but i realized that in my mind this women is an old black women that is confused about her name

anyways this is my favorite song on the album listen closely

  • jesus, just followed along with all the lyrics, some powerful stuff. Don't just get carried away in the beat, listen!!!

  • I'm glad no one hit the dislike button, this song is too good for that.

  • This is one of the best covers ever...

  • This right here is nice. Love how he used Nina Simone's song.

  • I wish all the snobs who decry hiphop music could hear this.

  • only 11,530 views??? for real?? wtf...this is one of those tracks that make people that dabbled in rap hang up their pens and pads, too much for them to deal with, there was probably a wave of suicides after this album dropped from cats that just couldnt deal with what they had to compete with...im proud to be one of the few that chose "LIKE" , LOVE THIS SHIT, WAKE UP, LISTEN!!

  • i love the fact that on the album you think the cd is actually over until u get 2:00 in

  • Whats the sample in the beginning?

  • @unspokenrespect That's not a sample, that is wisdom over a nice melody.

  • I always hear this song late at night. It always rocks me

  • Just found out something interesting. There is a part were Kweli says "When the Rainbow is not enough" I wonder if that was taken from NtoZake Shange "For colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow was enough"

  • I had the album when it first came out, but my cd is scratched really bad :( ....gotta buy another 1

  • This is real HipHop. A fantastic beat, good lyrics and flow.

Probs to Talib Kweli & HiTek from Germany

  • If I had a nickel for all the time I've listened to this song....

  • still remember the day i found there was another track hidden on my already favorite album, and it was the best on the whole album.

  • This is great song! Greetings form Banja Luka

  • Fantastic. Listen to Nina and then listen to this. Truth. Pain. Beauty. Tears.

  • man these haters dont kno what this strugle is like, and aren't prepared for the victory and justice

  • my love for this song is huge

  • too real they still ain't ready 4 this yet

  • This hot master story telling ...3 different in one song...all documenting black history !!!

  • stop downloading shit and buy the album.

  • i brought both of his albums..but i think he did a third one do you know the name of it ??

  • Not sure, I know of this, eardrum and quality, as far as solo albums go.

  • His best album was reflection eternal. It's better than those two combined

  • @Smileyfacedkiller AFTER THIS ALBUM TALIB WENT ON TO PUT OUT MANY SOLO ALBUMS. QUALITY, BEAUTIFUL STRUGGLE, RIGHT ABOUT NOW AND HIS LAST SOLO LP WAS EARDRUM. WHICH I'VE YET TO PURCHASE STILL. I NEED TO SLAP MYSELF. I HAVE ALL OF TALIB'S CD;S.

  • All of Kweli's Albums

Group Albums: Black Star, Train of Thought

    Solo: Quality, Beautiful Struggle, Eardrum.

Some people consider Liberation to be an album, personally, I regard it as a mixtape because of how it was released.

  • @TheLegitGOAT You forget Reflection Eternal: Revolutions per Minute.

  • @Smileyfacedkiller AMEN SMH IT'S RIDICULOUS NOW

  • @Smileyfacedkiller who dosnt have this album? the only sad thing is my outro is scratched and skips a lot.

  • This song is 4-ever... Black Star is 4ever

  • the best hiphop song ever... and no one can top this track ever.. kweli props...

  • Open your mind and Listen. Take heed to the message.
