And to think when I was a freshman in 1999, wireless cards were $250 and few people had them. Now I see more than 30 wireless networks from my apartment — so many people have wi-fi, I'm seeing serious interference all over the place. It's amazing how fast technology gets cheaper and more accessible!
I don't recognise that building or wing with the bid glass windows on 0:25. I left in the late 1990s. Must be a new wing/building?
BTW-when are they going to raise funds to build a properly sized library that fits the reputation and research of Carnegie Mellon? Its liberal arts collection is quite poor. A university the calibre of CMU needs to have at library with at least 2 million volumes. I think it has less than 1 million?
Thats part of Porter Hall. The other end of that building is Baker Hall (they're attached).
As for the library, I doubt they'll make a huge effort to improve it, it is mainly used today for a place to sit and use your laptop -- and you can do that anywhere on campus... Embrace digital storage methods!

Oh, I know Baker and Porter are attached. I'm an H&SS alumi.
Why not embrace digital storage AND have physical books at the same time? Hunt Library sucks.
