my old almera with 165bhp (proven) toyed with a civic type r i was short shifting at 5 grand then left the cunt in 3rd the type r's are so over rated but honda fans will defend them to thier death even if they loose they will say the civic driver cant drive or the other car isnt standard thats a fact. ill be suprised if a honda fan doesnt give it a go because of this comment

@h1coupe 1st of all no i dont defend mine to the ground i did not design, build or engineer it i simply handed over some cash for it so it is what it is in my opionon
2nd the lad who was driving was a friend of mine my gti was far from standard dont just look at my bhp figures and asume cause a CTR has more bhp its going to be faster power is'nt everything
@swalesy100 power isn´t everything? so the fact that your car was ca165hp and the ctr is 200hp doesn´t mean a thing? the civic should have more torque or in worst case the same, and the weight difference maybe around 150kg isn´t gonna tip the scale, the ctr still has a better power to weight ratio. I know anything can happen in a street race, but that doesn´t mean that one car is faster then the other. best way to measure is to take average times from 1/4mile runs or some kind of timed runs.
my gti is kicking out 165.3 bhp on the dyno, power boost valve, de-cat, stainless manifold, port and polished and the engine was rebuilt back in november 09 with, it hammers type r's b18 civics corsa redtops ect..

My GTI is a SR20DE with 143hp stock but on dyno 158Hp, and now i have a SR20DET in it with 270hp. check out my other videos.
