  • beutiful ... my father has played taps off his evening deck overlooking the puget sound in Seattle. He has done this every evening @ sunset to rousing neighborhood cheers and thank yous. hes a bit of a legend @ Browns point the beautiful beach community he lives in. needless to say we... his daughter's from a ling line of family Navy men serving from WW1 Through the Vietnam war, are very proud! thanks for the post!

  • Thank you speyburn, I was just about to say that! You played the rhythm incorrectly.

  • Please excuse me on this. But, 95% of everyone playing Taps, although beautiful, get it wrong. I've played the horn for over 33 years, retired after 20 years from the military, and am proud of this song. The third and fourth measure includes quarter notes. Even and repetitious. A simple google will present the sheet music. Hope this helps.

  • Thanks :D Trumpets rule!!!!!

  • Hi. G,C, E, and G above the staff are the notes....of course that is on my Bb horn im using in the video.

I think the standard Bugle used is pitched in G ( concert F).

  • Awsome can you give me the notes plz :D
