The second bought him the championship for the third time. 21 years a pro,champion or not Ali was boxing. As Kenny Norton once said...where Ali went boxing went. When Ali quit from illness and a two year layoff he fought Holmes with Parkinsons. Heavyweight boxing died until Tyson came along. Poor Larry(an Ali knock off) had a hard act to follow.

I think Ali would keep Tyson baited but I doubt that the rope-a-dope would work too well on Ali. (I know Frazier and Foreman may have been just as strong of fighters, but Tyson had much more endurance.)

the reason Alis' fighting style would be outdated is because he evolved the sport... todays coaches would make their boxers watch videos of muhammad to make them more skilled fighters, any decent modern day boxer would be using Alis' fighting style to some extent.

Who would beat him in todays boxing or even in the last 20 years, his stamina is unquestioned, when fighting bigger opponents Ali just tires them out then knocks them clean out...the bigger fighters of today wouldnt be able to keep up with him...think how fast Ali was, how good his movement was, he'd be dancing round the bigger sluggers that plague the heavyweight division...he's definately the best heavyweight boxer of all times, without a doubt

He defeated them all in the long run because he knew they couldnt last long in a fight, notice whenever Mike lost a fight it was later in the fight. He wasnt a distance man, while Ali mastered that.
