The reed switch I am currently using is a very cheap alarm system reed switch I bought on e-bay. About $1.00 each They are meant to go into a 1/2" drilled hole. I bought a package of 10. The reed switch in the video is a switch from a Fishertechniks kit. Sorry, no part numbers

Matthew, very nice little winder!
Could you please tell me the part # and source for the reed switch you used?
I have a winder with the same size switch that I scavenged from a treadmill and it works better than all others I've tried.
I would like to get my hands on a couple more of them. One for a spare and one for another project I'm working on.
Thanks.
Bob.
