i have to disagree. i believe the song was a perfect choice. Especially when it came to the Tasuki moments.

The song was an amazing choice; if you've watched to the very end of the series, or read it all, Tasumi eventually develops feelings for Miaka. But because of his personal reasoning, he never shows it out of respect for Tamahome and his own dislike towards women "problems". Cutest part that shows is when he freaks out over Tamahome breaking Miaka's arm. ^^
The song, was by far, the best choice for the situation. And I still pity Hotohori for never having so much as a chance, hehe.
