This live is surreal... I don't know if you realize how lucky we are that we got a pro-shot from this one (still waiting for a "There was a time" pro-shot...). Best GNR song hands down, the 2 last minutes are out of this world, Axl is struggling very hard in the last part but he puts so much rage that it works. Outstanding performance for one of the best rock songs of all time. It's a miracle that they played it so well given they barely ever played it live back then.. genius.

In my opinion, this is a powerful tune. The problem was that it was "too long" for the radios to launch it, because they would need to sacrifice time for the adds, haha. Anyway, if you're a real GNR fan, deffinitely this should be part of your compilation.

the reason why they didn't play it more is, after axl wrote the lyrics and then Duff and Slash put all the music direction behind i, Axl realized it was a bitch to do and it hurt to sing it all the time so they did it about 5 times and that's about it. it was the same for a couple of other tunes like Locomotive, Right Next Door To Hell and a few others, but when they did do them man they were awssome.
