Eurovision Song contest is a joke, when I was youngster a liked to see it and I remember to think that it would be nice for my country (Portugal) to win it, but now I know that it's only politics, and they have no respect for what really matters, the songs, the voices... That song is a really good one :)
@lightwaveTR I voted for France, though Italy was also great. But I noticed that the stage favoured far more the performance of Azerbaijan than that of France. I think Azerbaijan was far better in 2009 and 2010. I hope, since you are from Turkey, you keep liking this French song! I love Turkey and I love France, why do you need (both) to create artificial conflicts? Everybody knows that there was an Armenian genocide by the Ottomans and an Algerian genocide by the French!

Stunning is one of a thousand words I can use to describe this song. It is a genuine travesty that he did not win, or at least get into the top 5. He is truly a fantastic singer, and if this competition was based on voice, or on song in reality, our friend Amaury Vassili would have won flawlessly. But he didn't, which is tragic. The one good thing about this, though, is that album is on my Christmas list and subsequently my ipod. :)
Exceptional music, great voice. Not sure why, but on the Eurovision’s stage it didn't sound as powerful as expected. Despite this, it disserved a better place. Twelve points from Greece don’t reflect the musical preferences there - and I can say this categorically as I lived in Greece 6 years. I was surprised, nevertheless pleased - this song disserved many more votes. Maybe Eurovision wasn't the best place for it but anyhow, I genuinely love the song and hope Vassili keeps going.
not a coincidence that Greece was the only coyntry that gave him the 12 points. No matter the state today, Greeks have great taste and music history :)

people's vote brought sweden 1st and Greece 3rd and they brought Sweden third and Greece 7th by the vote of thejudges...

I voted for France but when I saw the performance of Azerbaijan I had the clear sensation that they would win. Either the stage was not the ideal for Vassili or he didn't deliver a performance as good as he could have. By the way, I think the stage in Germany was one of the worst of all time, with little people singing like ants in the middle of nowhere (I guess it's not for that that Germany is in the Big Five) and Azerbaijan was much better than Western European chauvinists like to say it was.

You have to get people to like you're song, to want to listen to it on the radio, and that's a thing that doesn't happen with opera, and this song is pretty opera-style
This young man has an excellent voice. Purity, clearity, a wonderful sound, best technic. Great!!! I hope he will go his way - its not necessary to win this Eurovision Contest. Maybe its better so. When he follows his goals, he becomes a great singer.
Vassili deserved 1st place. His voice is so wonderful, that whoever is listening would immediatly love the song as well as the singer who in my opinion is good looking.
Amaury got 15th, which also means that half Europe simply watched his performance without being impressed, which is unbeliveable.
Dunno but its either that people dont appreciate real talent anymore, or else someone messed the votes so that the song he prefers wins.

Amaury unfortunately did not do a great job :( but Sognu is a gem. Alone on the stage? that was a bad decision. if there were a few instruments it would have been slightly better. Besides, Amaury had the best backdrop of Eurovision this year.

Other songs with those unnecessary light efects and cheesy pop songs will be forggoten in the following year if not earlier.:)

Je suis de Casablanca, donc j'ai regardé l'Eurovision sans aucune préférence pour un pays par mis d'autre, avec l'intention de regarder des performances représentant au meilleur chacune leur pays, c'est un peu le défi de l'eurovision je pense, et je pense aussi qu'Amaury a réussi avec excellence son pari, il n'a pas représenté que la France selon moi, mais plutôt toute l'Europe. On entendra surement encore parler de ce jeune homme charismatique à la voix envoûtante =) Bravo Amaury!

This was one of my favourite songs long before the contest and it's still probably the best song. However, on the night Amaury's position early on was poor and he was overcome with nerves in the first half of the song which spoilt the live perfomance. This is a shame as, apparently, his perfomances up till then had been very good.
Im really glad that my country,Greece gave 12 points to this song and not to the Azerbaijan shit.It definitely deserved a better place.But not always is Eurovision fair,especially this year.
Eurovision Song Contest is the Comedy Show of the year, it's always been. Most of the songs had nothing whatsoever to do with MUSIC. Most countries vote for their neighbours and the best song is usually the one with beautiful singers and rediculously easy melodies and keys. This leads us all to the conclusion, that if the contest was for real, France would have won <3
Without doubt the best male voice and french songs in Eurovision. He had deserved conquest other final result. 2 points from Portugal is not correct ! At least, Portugal should have given 10 points...

@Alex4u maybe, but still : Sognu is an amazing song as u just said, his voice is incredible and he is real handsome and all this combined together should have put Amaury a few places up. at least he could have come up with the top 10.
still there were some people ( i am a case in point) who watched the performance and immediatly rushed to their phones to vote for him. :)

@Alex4u Maybe he was a little bit nervous but did you see Lena's performance? THAT was a disaster. He did a great job! And he was alone on stage. Most of the artists had some people in the background.

@DairyMilk0809 he wasn't a little bit nervous, he was terrified. Lena's perfomance? what has to do with Amaury? Lena's perfomance was flawless, mysterious and she was not nervous. Amaury unfortunately did not do a great job :( but Sognu is a gem. Alone on the stage? that was a bad decision. if there were a few instruments it would have been slightly better. Besides, Amaury had the best backdrop of Eurovision this year.

@RiddleRiddle1000 Thats because of the performance mate..as i said a long time ago France is a completly amazing country,with such a big history and culture.The song they sent on ESC,was completly brilliant and i can tell you I'll remember this amazing work of art and it's singer 20 years later in the future,maybe even further. Other songs with those unnecessary light efects and cheesy pop songs will be forggoten in the following year if not earlier.:)

Je suis de Casablanca, donc j'ai regardé l'Eurovision sans aucune préférence pour un pays par mis d'autre, avec l'intention de regarder des performances représentant au meilleur chacune leur pays, c'est un peu le défi de l'eurovision je pense, et je pense aussi qu'Amaury a réussi avec excellence son pari, il n'a pas représenté que la France selon moi, mais plutôt toute l'Europe. On entendra surement encore parler de ce jeune homme charismatique à la voix envoûtante =) Bravo Amaury!

This was one of my favourite songs long before the contest and it's still probably the best song. However, on the night Amaury's position early on was poor and he was overcome with nerves in the first half of the song which spoilt the live perfomance. This is a shame as, apparently, his perfomances up till then had been very good.

Im really glad that my country,Greece gave 12 points to this song and not to the Azerbaijan shit.It definitely deserved a better place.But not always is Eurovision fair,especially this year.

Eurovision Song Contest is the Comedy Show of the year, it's always been. Most of the songs had nothing whatsoever to do with MUSIC. Most countries vote for their neighbours and the best song is usually the one with beautiful singers and rediculously easy melodies and keys. This leads us all to the conclusion, that if the contest was for real, France would have won <3

I am from Düsseldorf, I had no idea he existed before Eurovision, yesterday I bought one of his CD. I think it was a very good idea to bring him to the contest, he has now in Germany ....a lot of fans among women ;-) he has the scandinavian typ of guy ....we love
