I'm considering this as my next piece to study. I'm more interested in continuing with the Beethoven Sonatas and Chopin's Nocturnes. But my 102 year old Aunt sent me my Grandmother's 1894 sheet music for this and it has her notes from when she last played it in 1977. So, I'm thinking, continue the string.
Haydn ranks with Mozart and Beethoven! Doesn't he? What a gift. I also enjoyed watching Availa's wonderous performance. This was great! Siddhartha Marr, Composer.
I want to thank you for looking Ivaila's videos and for the nice comments you posted. (if posted)
The thing is that Ivaila is one of the best Bulgarian pianists, but she decided to close her career because of the reality in Bulgaria. (corruption and envy in music). There are few more of her records I will upload soon and that will be all from her. Thank you very much again.
I love Haydn. He is often underestimated. I place him at the level of Schubert, above Mozart, and below Bach of course. In 1997 when I lived in Seoul I bought a 2 cd box in an underground market. Piano sonatas by Haydn, played by good old Alfred Brendel. Marvellous. This performance is very good too.
Thanks for asking. Well, of course, this isn't an exact science, merely my own opinion. I love the neat pretty melodies of Haydn, without too much fuss, but with great precision. Actually, I can't really describe it. For me, Haydn carries more 'ting' with it than Mozart. Bach's music is simply miraculous. Well, there you go, I can't really explain....
wonderful playing, very colorful and crisp articulations, you are also easy on the eyes... but I could just listen to you.. the sound you produce is very beautiful as well
Wonderful playing. Amazing technique!!

It's rare to see a woman with beauty AND talent here in the U.S. but beautiful talented women seem to run rampant in other countries...

Very good, but a little bit "too modern" interpretation .

Great performance, but I think that she would do better on a different piano. It seems like one of those pianos that is too sustainy.

Maybe it's the acoustics of the hall.

I would definitely like to see her perform live. She plays this piece so gracefully.
