but doesnt that arresting officer have a right to protect the safety and health of himself others? When i approach a suspect i dont know if they have a gun, knife, bomb, anything that will hurt me while i arrest them. Peerless 1 - I disagree. I've read the Stanford Prison Experiment. The experiment shows that 1)people with no training on how to do a job, 2)coupled with not fearing consequences for the wrong decisions made while perfrorming said job will perform it horrifically. It further showed man's need for trained professionals to preserve law and order (it cannot be left to average people such as you and me).

Good to see Americans who understand their rights. I think the majority of cops are good people, but it's very easy for otherwise good people to slide down that slippery slope. These people may be a little on the liberal radical side for my taste, but what their doing should be considered perfectly acceptable in a free society.
