Your comment saved me my 5.13...thanks sooooo much!! I'm really getting rather pissed off with videos that don't do anything but infuriate people and waste their time....b*st*rd *dvertising their putrid wares...well he's probably a schmuck of a teacher anyways!
you curl your strings like i do hah. i just bought a 12 string Epiphone. After giving away my 12 string Norman years ago, I decided to pick it up again and take a more serious attempt at it. I look forward to your videos.
12 string is my favorite. I had one about 16 years ago and sold it and just recently, I picked up a "Songbird model 212" that's about 5 years old. It's awesome, never seen or hear of Songbird before, but it's made in Pennsylvania. Very nice instrument.
I love the sound of one but they aen't as easy to play to me--I always accidently hit a string I don't need to hit or something---six strings play a lot easier
@8tripsaweek Elixirs are best my buddy says---tey cost about twice as much as regular strings but last a lot longer and retain their new sound a lot longer--get nano web elixirs
@fiendwithaface13 "The strings are placed in courses of two strings each that are usually played together. The two strings in each bass course are normally tuned an octave apart, while each pair of strings in the treble courses are tuned in unison. The tuning of the second string in the third course (G) varies: some players use a unison string while others prefer the distinctive high-pitched, bell-like quality an octave string makes in this position."
@fiendwithaface13 E, A, D, and G are tuned like regular 6 string but are doubled with a string that is an octave higher. The b and e strings are doubled also, but they are unison (the same string together). top to bottom-- Ee, Aa, Dd, Gg, bb, ee

I must brag. I just picked up a 12 string at a garage sale for $25 bucks. The neck
needed a little repair. And I had it strung cuz I had no idea how. It is a 'Pan'. What
a beautiful sound and now I am eager to learn. My first 12 string and it sounds awesome.
