  • haha i like how its eye grows and shrinks when it licks the spoon!

  • I have a yellow naped amazon named Gracie as well! :) How cute!

  • So cute :)

  • He will fart a lot after!!!

  • your birds are the cutest hing I've ever seen!

  • @Bpickle1290 Thanks! You should hear Gracie when she yells at Avis and tells him to stop it! It's hilarious. (Avis tries to bite her feet and she screams "stop it!".

  • Gracie is very cute & has good manners! I love this video :)

  • @NicholasPiano Thank you, Nicholas. She loves food. Whenever she sees me making something in the kitchen, she asks, "Is that good?" (Corkie says the same thing.) She also gets off her cage and visits the other bird cages looking for peanuts they've dropped.

When Gracie climbs up Avis's cage leg, he protests by lunging at her acting like he's going to bite her feet. "Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Stop it! Ouch! Quit!", Gracie hollars at Avis.

    Continued next comment.

  • @OnePickieChickie One day, when Gracie and Avis were first getting to know each other, I quickly removed Avis off the top of his cage to prevent them from injuring each other. "Now deal with that!", Gracie hollered!

  • Your Gracie looks exactly like my Max. He actually came over to the screen and tried to touch her and even rubbed his cheek against the screen. Too bad they can't be friends!

  • @CaptUante How cute! My Blue Crown Conure Avis attacks himself, when I show him his videos on YouTube. Gracie is hilarious. She likes to crawl up into Avis's cage, which he doesn't like, and lunges at her as though he is going to bite her feet. Gracie will holler, "Stop it! Quit it! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!", at him! She's quite the character.

  • This female, Ms Gracie has manners of mannequin. She should be sitting above the table.

  • @Pargoneful Thanks!

  • that is one happy bird. you can tell because her eyes dilate alot. at least i've been told that means a happy parrot

  • @MasterPenguin777 This video just made the Los Angeles Times Unleashed - Your Morning Adorable !!

When a parrot is stimulated, their eyes dilate, yes. You can often tell when a parrot is about to talk because of that.

  • can you help me i got a 4 month yna like yours h emakes babble sounds is that cause he is a baby? and what age an i feed him normal food like furites and vigges.

  • @ishymanz I'm so sorry! I didn't see your comment until just now. Congratulations on your new baby Amazon! They can start eating fruit and vegetables when they are old enough to eat on their own.

  • Wow all your birds are amazing!! You're soo lucky to have them!!!

  • Yes, I am. I rescued all of them but had to pay for Frostie to rescue him.

Gracie likes to get in Avis's cage then teases him by telling him to "come here" then laughing at him. They haven't made friends yet but I am pleased they haven't hurt each other. (Avis gets on top of his cage the moment he sees her coming or gets down and runs over to me!)

  • wow 28 yrs old!

did he use napkin to clean off his mouth?

  • No, Gracie drops the spoon on the floor then wipes her beak on the perch! And, she doesn't even say "thank you" for the peanut butter!

  • It amazes me how smart birds are. I mean I been knew that but it still makes quite an impression on me =)

  • gorgeous looking bird btw

  • They say parrots are as smart as a four-year-old child. Everytime I am eating something, Gracie gets down off her cage and comes over to me because she wants some.

  • thats too funny a peanut butter eating bird

  • Little kids get a kick out of that. Have you seen Frostie dance yet? If not,, it's the main video on my channel. He's very famous for that video.

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO

  • I'm glad! I have more videos you'll like. Have you seen Frostie dance yet?

  • I love this! I wonder if Gracie taught herself to hold the spoon, or did you train her? It would be great if I could train my conure to do this trick, but it'd probably be too heavy for him. He could probably support a plastic spoon, but he'd be more likely to chew it apart! He adores peanut butter too, by the way - but only the unsweetened kind, and only a little bit every now and then. Thanks for posting these videos!

  • Gracie is 24 and did that trick before I owned her. She doesn't get peanut butter ever because she is overweight. I used the peanut butter because it would stay on the spoon. I don't know how she learned to do that. She may have just grabbed a spoon one day. I know she has a cow if I eat and don't offer her something. She gets down off her cage and walks over to me.

  • what a little lady, such beautiful table manners!

  • I agree! Thank you for commenting.

  • LOL!

  • I'm glad you liked it!

  • Not half bad, it seems!! xD

  • Everything goes great until it is something runny!

  • haha!:P

  • what good manners!! how wonderful

  • Gracie loves to eat. She will eat whatever you put on the spoon. However, the thinner the food is, the more likely it will end up on the floor! That's why I gave her peanut butter. This is something that isn't usually done because she tends to be a bit overweight.

  • that's a classic! by the way , how many parrots do you haave?

  • I'm sorry I didn't answer you right away! I don't know how this happened! I have 2 parrots, Avis and Frostie. The others are owned by, or being babysat at, Birds of Paradise. Gracie has been there for almost 4 years as has Corkie. They are both being babysat.

  • Oh haha , it's alright. Oh I see... xD

  • If you enjoyed this, I have many more funny videos on my channel!

  • just give it seeds

  • I never give Gracie peanut butter. This was just to illustrate how she can eat out of a spoon. She gets Zupreem.

  • Thats cool, I have an equadorian parrot and it wont eat anything but seeds................................................ur the only user ive ever seen who replys to all of the comments. Thats cool

  • Having cared for over 350 parrots, I have observed that ALL parrots prefer seed over what is really good for them. The best way to introduce the "good food" is by putting two dishes in it's cage. When the seeds are all gone, they have no choice but to eat "the good food".

Frostie was a pain to wean from seeds. He would root through the pellets searching for seed and then push the pellets out of the dish onto the bottom of the cage! Every time he did that, I took the food away for 20 minutes!

  • ok thanks.........is your job to take care of birds because is 350 is a ton of them

  • I'm so sorry I didn't reply to answer your question. No, a friend of mine has a professional parrot breeding, babysitting and rescue facility. I have lived there off and on and have helped take care of the birds.

  • what do you think - would people who work take their parrots to some kind of daycare like seen with dogs..??

  • This is a possibility. I do know people need a place to leave their parrots when they go on vacation. A bird can die very quickly if it runs out of food. The problem is parrot cages are very expensive and it would be difficult to come up with enough cages!

  • my parrot somehow he loves eating youghurt an he will completely lick the spoon clean is that normal for a yellow crowned amazon?

  • Avis loves yougart too! In fact, there's nothing he doesn't like to eat that I can think of except raw onions! It just depends on the parrot and what they've been given when they were young I think!

  • My bird Gringo is scared of spoons.

And peanut butter. He will hiss at it and look like Frostie in the Dancing Frostie: Looking Feirce. LOL SO CUTE THIS VID!!!!!!

  • Lol! I'd like to see that~!

  • It made me ill. I sat in my chair here just feeling sick and in shock! I even had tears come! That poor bird!

  • She's fat enough as it is! Lol! She eats everything in site and if left to sit on top of her cage unsupervised, is down on the floor eating all the spilled seeds and into any cage that's open to get into their food as well! She's about 29 years old and talks a lot! I'll have to catch it on video soon!

  • lol wow are these all your parrots ?, do are u like a bird sanctuary or something ?

  • The parrots you hear belong to Ted. He rescues, babysits and breeds parrots.

  • Hee, hee, hee, that's cute! (My sister's grey parrot once MADE himself a spoon by chewing a plastic toy; he then went to his food dish, put food in the "spoon" with his beak, went to a perch, and ate the food!)

  • Lol! That would have been a treat to see! Good thing all birds don't do the same things or they wouldn't be so fascinating!

  • i love it thanks for send David! thank you too onepikiechickie! for sharing us this wonderful moment of your pets

  • You're welcome! Little kids really get a kick out of Gracie when they see her hold a spoon!

  • 5*'s!

  • Thank you!

  • wut a cuttie wow she is so smart

    <3 i adore your pets <3

  • She's the only parrot I've ever seen do that!

  • wow he is so cute and smart

  • Gracie is a pill! She talks a lot!

  • omg iwant that bird

    thnks

  • Do you have lots of peanut butter and a clothespin for your nose? Amazons smell like a pair of peed panties lost under a 3-year-old's bed! Lol!

  • i have the same type of bird (yellow nape)

  • Give it a spoon with some peanut butter on it and see what happens! Lol!

  • Awesome! Gracie is a real delight!

  • great video

  • Glad you enjoyed it! I sent you a link to her friend Frostie dancing!

  • now that a a smart bird also, these kinds of birds are amazing

  • great video, so lovely to see hugs selina

  • what a coooolll bird!!

  • oh

I want to eat peanut butter

  • I got bit once on the face,at an Narcotics Enforcrment Officers Association Event by another cops bird. he had an amazon and a macaw, he knew nothing about birds, but it wasn't the birds fault....The owner was responsible. I still have a slight fear of Amazons, but they are cute....

They di sense my fear as well....

  • *****

  • Thanks dogdigger50 For your share :)*****

  • Thank dogdigger50 for doing my leg work for me!

  • you are more than welcome. glad to help you out

  • They love doing that....She is a very pretty girl, Love her name too.

    5 stars

  • Gracie is a sweetie pie!

  • Wonderful Gracie! :) 10/10*

I love peanut butter too! LOL

  • She is overweight and I had a hard time getting spoon away from her after the video! She was lucky to get the bit she ate during it! I usually give her apple sauce but because I was shooting a video, I wanted the food to stay on the spoon and be there long enough for me to get some good footage!

  • I always wanted a cool bird. That was too cool.

  • She talks a lot too, mostly in the evening before bed time. She's funny! One time, Corkie got in her cage and I heard, "Corkie! Quit it!" I turned around and she had her foot up to his chest and hollared, "No!" Lol! You can see Corkie in my Corkie Singing With Karla video.

  • Thats Cute!

  • Little kids love it when she does that. They are totally amazed!

  • ok she can eat out of a spoon but can she make her own peanut butter and jelly sandwich? lol very cute *****

  • No, she'd be too busy eating everything in sight!

  • hehe Gracie got herself a tasty little treat

  • I only gave her peanut butter for the video so it wouldn't spill! Lol! She does NOT need peanut butter! She's a bit plump!

  • Could she whistle after eating the peanut butter:-) Thanks

  • Yes but the batteries went dead on the video camera! ;-)
