Actually, I love this slow version! I think that it has to be very slowly because this underlines that the whole situation is full of pain and very dramatic. And the choir is great, really!

This is very moving performance. Most performances of this final piece are very powerful - bach's composition is so powerful. I have listened to many clips on utube. So far this has moved me the most. Beautifully weighted and paced. Would have loved to seen a pan of the whole choir but no matter, a wonder rendition.

I think it needs to be slower to adequately reflect the mourning emotion of the piece.
