I would say that the game is allright, it has its flaws, but its also fun just to mess around with. The destinations expansion is probably the best in the series I would say, because you get to build your own resort. However, I wish there was taxes and zoning.

Gameplay: 4.4/10 Below average-Fun at first- but then gets REALLY repetative. Boring patterns...People go to work-then go to sleep-there is no life in the city at night

+ Fun game to play for a while- you will end up getting bored of it quick

- No zoning

- Repetative - Only two types of road/no traffic lights- no Public Transpotation/highways or airports - Amount of currency CAN'T go under $0

this is not a simcity game, nor does simcitysocieties belong in the simcity franchise. THis game is a fail. Has no traffic or education of anything to do with simcity. In simcity, you manage taxes. While in Societies, you just build. Worst game ever

Cities Xl 2011 and Cities XL were also BADLY reviewed by company's.

Gamespot giving it a low rating of 6.0. I mean really?

Gamespot Gave Simcity 4 an 8.1.

And Simcity 4 on IGN Got an 9.3.

So i recommend buying Simcity 4 over Cities XL

If you are wondering about Socities, it's actually in the name itself. Simcity 4 is about a CITY, SCS is more about SOCITIES. I think that pretty much shows the difference.

I recommend Cities XL 2011, however, because there are some things that can get boring, I actually recommend installing SC4 mods instead.

I'm still waiting for a decent update of Sim City 4, as put out in 2003. Yes, 2003. We haven't had a new Sim City since then. I don't count this one. This is an utter joke and failure. its a shame this is crap cos the graphics are great and yeh i did get arrested last week for being angry last week. The police magically new where i was, they then dragged me down a road walking through the cars. we then dissapeared and magically reapeared next to the jail at whoch point we also walked through this aswell. The idea behind the game is totally different to the idea of SC4 or CL. I have played all of them and must say that I find the gameplay of Societies quite refreshing after all, especially the change of style of a city and the originality of the buildings...Of course it's not a "serious" citysim but it never intended to be one.

Actually the game is not that easy after all if you play the strategy mode. Then you really HAVE to care about money and buidlings' effects ...
