@caveworm It depends on the tone you're looking for. The 475 is a somewhat thick, very warm sounding instrument. If you're looking for a mark VI sound, then go with the 475. The 875 and the 62 is thinner, brighter, and edgier. Get that if you're looking for more of that tinny sound. As for the construction, it's a solid, responsive, and beautiful instrument. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
@blonski soprano is logical if you play tenor. it will give you a whole different color to use. Soprano also works well for world beat and jazz in 3/4 & 6/8 time signatures.
