  • 1:39 is why I dislike the Pio CDJs

  • @Dibyasmail then wtf are you doing here?

  • Well you do need skill. Lots of skill. Yeah its easy for the beginner to go up and do the very basic things on that, but to get the more complicated stuff you do need skill. the only reason you're saying you don't is cause you only have vinyl skill or whatever you use (you didn't specify). Each medium and what you can do with it is good for different things. Don't knock it if you're not used to it. That being said, find out what you do best and then see what medium is good for that.

  • I wished the CDJ-2000 had a metal finish and did not feel so cheap, especially that cheesy stationay platter! Mixing on two of those is not cool. I feel embarrased when I have to perform with CDJ-2000s. It basically says that you have no skills and that you are lazy.

  • @GROMSF so are you calling roger sanchez lazy and that he basically has no skill????

  • will everyone stop bitching about digital.... its the new style now were in 2011 get use to it times changes the be a time in future when mixers and cdjs become somethign a whole lot difront from now so acp time changes vinyl aint use much now its digital. you still need skill ......i think cdjs look cool and you stil need skill to scratch on them ....i rather use a cdjs than a real vinyl because u got to have a big pile up of vinyls and its a pain in ass

  • you know he's a good dj because he wears sunglasses inside.

  • @ProjectEndgame the thing is he really is a good DJ, one of the best.

  • @ProjectEndgame

It's the S man to you. Yeah he's done a few things.

  • critics of pcdj make me lol. the simple fact is the audience don't differentiate between vinyl cd and pc, all they care about is the sound. As technology progresses and allows performers to do quicker mix throughs across more layers with affects processing the audience will follow and expect more from the performers. while traditional vinyl and cd dj's waste time bitching about how pcdj's are "cheating" they are quickly being left behind :)

  • @ctrlaltdelmaster actually most of cdj 900 and 2000 users dont utilize cd's. Most of them have their playlists on their flash drives. People argue that CD and vinyl users are being left behind blah blah, etc. That may be true but it doesnt apply to pionner's gear. Their stuff is cutting edge, this deck came out in 2009 ahead of its time, still is very cutting edge. Technics and denons or whatever really are the ones left behind. Pioneer allows dj to play digital music w/ out a laptop or software

  • what.a.tool.

  • perfect hardware, bad DJ

  • @nessor7913 do u know, who he is...r u ever listen his set...i dont thimk so,because for u roger is bad dj...HE IS ONE OF THE BEST UNDERGROUND HOUSE DJS ,REMIXERS AND PRODUCERS ON PLANET...

  • @nessor7913 WHAT ARE U TALKING ABOUT? ROGER IS ONE OF THE BEST DJ'S IN THE FUCKING WORLD DUDE....

  • @esamuelrebel ima let you finish but tiesto is the best dj of all times....of all timesssss

  • @tomiromi007 haha you are so funny! you don't know nothing about this get GTFO please..

  • @esamuelrebel ima let you finish bastard but you suck nasty cock

  • every cdj has a loop roll 4 beat thing even the 200's jajaja

  • The bad thing about vinyl is that not every track is on vinyl, for example if you want to road test a track that u just made, u cant on vinyl, it has its limitiations thats why its less popular now.

  • all effects and things work properly at beginning....several months later...everything start to fail....use to happen....

  • Rodger Sanchez has more money than all of you put together so stop bitching. He started on vinyl and now uses cdj

  • Sigh, LED's are replaceable. I have changed over and done several jobs for people.

  • @0UT3RL1M1T5 .....oooo u just got owned

  • Seriously, just be a real DJ and use vinyl...

DJ stands for disc jockey for a reason.

  • @0UT3RL1M1T5 ...and what does CD stand for?

  • Comment removed

  • @robertmintmusic Compact disc. But we don't call a DJ a CDJ, do we? Nope, because a DJ uses two turntables. All of this digital bs makes everything easy.

  • @0UT3RL1M1T5 Yeah, same as we call a DJ playing vinyls not a VDJ. What kind of weak arguement is that? And CDJ's have been around for ages, and yet never has there been so much contradiction about them. It seems, that it's kind of a trend, to suddenly start condemning digitalism, as it becomes more and more multifunctional due to the fact that a lot of people just don't know crap about the technology. Thus it's easy to say, that "digital stuff is bs" if you have no idea what you're talkin about!

  • @0UT3RL1M1T5 cds are dics div! and now it can stand for digital jockey as well....god what are you like 100 years old?

  • @drumkiter

My opinion is that DJs should use vinyl. I'm not a DJ, I will never be one. I don't really listen to rap at all. I just like some mixes that people make. However, any scratching noises you make on a cd are not "real". There is absolutely no way to fake skills with vinyl. Lol I know that from experience, unfortunately. I had an old record and an old cart and I tried scratching and it sucked (no skill). Digital is where it is now because of CONVENIENCE. So was VHS.

  • @0UT3RL1M1T5 ive never known any one to fake scratching? :L things have moved on..even if you do see a dj using vinyl they will be using timecode.....name one successful dj that still uses vinyl today? thats right there are non!

  • @drumkiter Dude im not going to argue, thats just my uneducated opinion. To me, the whole Digital DJ thing is just an imitation of the oldschool vinyl method, which is where it originated from. If there is a good DJ out there who still uses vinyl today, my respect goes out to him/her. Just about everything took skill back in the day, especially analog audio editing. I am not old, and I have never spliced even one tape, but I plan on making R2R mixes. That is some difficult stuff right there.

  • @0UT3RL1M1T5 yeah buh wether you use vinyl or not doesnt make you a good dj..being a good dj is about reading the crowed and playing what they want to hear...who gives a shit what equipment you use!

  • @0UT3RL1M1T5 Taking three or four sources and having 2 trax mixing while layering, looping, and reversing a cappellas and sound efx drops on the fly, all without syncing makes using CDJs (at least Pioneers) just as challenging if not more than using the classic straight 2 vinyl deck and mixer system. Erick Morillo is a great example of this. Vinyl in its scope of possibilities dosent even compare to the cdj1000 just based on the live time stretch and looping alone. the 2000s are even better

  • @0UT3RL1M1T5 I would have to agree with Richie Hawtin. Technology is only boring if you dont take the time it saves you to do something else. He was reffering to the syncing functions found in many dj interface programs. In the case of CDJs, they dont save you time, they actually make more potential work for the dj as all of the classic DJ skills are still required. Beatmatching is unfortunately the main argument people make for being a dj. Its just a skill, and a very out dated one at that

  • even if God himself endorsed this product I still wouldn't buy them......

way way to much money.....traktor scratch duo is the way forward at a fraction of the price and most people have a computer at home, so you already have some thing to run it on.........nice kit but well over priced!!!!!!

  • Ok, bro. You're just a little obnoxious. Please, go easy on the buttons.

  • He annoyed me.

  • @BlackHoleHeroin And he obviously messed up at the end, when he wanted to show off his "swoosh" effect :-)

  • @robertmintmusic Hahaha yes! Maybe If he wasn't wearing sun glasses he would have been able to find the buttons easier^^

  • WTF there is becoming NO DIFFERENCE when it comes to plugging a USB instead of carrying CDs

    just get fucking serato

  • Nice Stuff Roger..Lets do something Hot for 2011... Max´C TheVoice

  • some of the comments on here are so fucking retarded.....

You people do realize he is one of the most technically gifted house djs...

You do realize he is just showing a new feature that the cdj 2000 has right?

fucking scrubs who dont know shit about edm -.-

  • did he say "wemixes" in the begining

  • "without even having to try to kill myself"...

  • Alright Sanchez, easy on the buttons yeah.

  • His a KING!

  • This guy is a fucking child. Skillz: party of none.

  • If Vin Diesel was a dj xP

  • HE DOESNT DESERVE THOSE! GTFO

  • @panchniguh Nonsense, maybe you do? lol Get back to school!

  • is this a macbook pro 13 inch or 15 inch ?

  • @stroiwaagen who cares!! JK, it looks like a 15

  • Piena konsola ;(

  • "its that simple"

so now the skill in djing is to earn the money to buy this kit?

  • wow Terrible he needs to stick to producing, hes no Dj

  • @CezAmAzeC u r deaf prob. he is amazing as a dj

  • @nocsag To you ,you think he is. I am not Deaf . My opinion . You don't listen carefully , you listen with deaf Hearing.Meaning you hear it but, your not really Listening. To each they own

  • @CezAmAzeC "to each his own" is a loser way to get out of ur comments. every one is entitled to an opinion doesnt mean its ok. i will even say 2 yrs ago he was crap. he has kept true to good song selection. his productions are nthin amazing but in terms of creativity, he is up there with the best. tell me who's in ur "opinion" is good?

  • @CezAmAzeC You clearly dont know who he is..... I bet ur a Yank...

  • @CezAmAzeC And BTW, he is just testing the capabilities, not actually in a mixdown.

  • no offense but this guy hits the buttons to hard for no reason... i wana break his fingers argh.... button mashing ass...stop DJING

  • @ryansvxr do you even know who he is.....

  • thats a DJM 800

  • "One of the things I have very been big on..."

  • bon bon john dahlback and atfc

  • wow................. i can do the same exact thing with my shitty american audio ck800 better than what he's doin.. let me mess with one of those 2000's and i'll be cherishing it and making a mix right there an there instead of doin a simple loop

  • Freaking Awesome..Can anyone donate me 1 :P !

  • fookin foonny freak ;))))

  • vinyl forever!!! fuck cd plastic suond!!!

  • uuhhh.. well times have changed.. i mean DOES IT MATTER ??

  • @Dev0nTer0n fuck off

  • @madhorde excuse me... why dont you shut the fuck up and fuck off....

  • yes we know it can loop.....this guy must think every dj is a fucking idiot XDDD

  • Thinking about what to buy? CDJ 900 or 2000? 900 is abit cheaper. Little less functions. But im still learning and they are for in my bedroom.. but maby if i buy the 900 i will feel sorry not spending a little more..

  • @kniffa man if you are a begginer and you want pioneer i think that the best piece of equip for a begginer is a cdj -400 or 900...i dont think that 2000 is for an amateur...only for pros and big clubs.

  • @DJOrfaRulzz

Thanks for the advice. But I bought 2x CDJ 2000 last week, i had no choice.. I was in love with them.. so now ill start learning on the big boys haha. I couldn't let the deal slip because I could buy 2 cdj's for 2500 euro new!

  • @DJOrfaRulzz im luckey i grabbed the original 800s before they discontinued them, thats i think is the best started deck

  • he has some deformed looking head

  • @Celtic8781 lol.. Shut up.. lol.. You are so wrong!

It's not that weird looking in real life. It's mostly the chevron military stripes he has cut into the top of his head that give him an odd look in the video.

Nowadays he's shaven it completely bald and looks better.

  • If you morons don't know who this guy is....GET EDUCATED! He is a true genius and legend in house music.

  • @chongos714 not really..hes just a dj

  • but you still have to know where your cd is in your cd-book!! so that you pick up the right one. what a bullshit. and all this absurd looping. with the roll on effect it goes better and you stop there what the looping ends.

  • omg, i'd do everything just to get two of those players!

  • he is just demonstrating the equipment

  • dj's really are not musicians.

  • @RoboticusMusic

thts not true, and you know, we earn more fukcing money than you!!!!!!!

    asshole!

    U.u

  • Yes you win money but its not the goal of the music

  • @zenusb

    ok!

it is my goal, and im a mothfucker materialistic bastard musician!...

  • @polacomei

U might want to listen to Coone - words from the gang...

  • @RoboticusMusic so how they can get a grammy award if they r not musicians

  • @AdagioForStrings8304 They can't, and thats why.

  • dumbass

  • cool

  • roger u r shit dj and shit at looping mate..maybe I can give u a lesson! :)

  • LMAO! Why don't you put up a YouTube video of YOU mixing, hmm?

  • he sorry ass hell

  • I hate all of that loops, finally its all about the music you spinn! Prepare all does bootlegs it in the studio, so you can care about the crowd on your live gig.

who cares if you have good technique but you play shitty music?

  • @Chrusuhead

    Agree! :)

  • que animal eres Sanchez ,you right ,on the spot looping remixes.....

  • CHE ZARRO!!! CHAVONE!!!

  • Whilst that initial stuttering loop was a bit shit, the S man is truly awesome to behold when he starts flowing! He actually inspired me to start djaying. Now am kicking big beats!

  • roger sanchez live is awesome , i went to c him thinkin it wud b ok , he blew me away n ivseen all the top djs ,

i jus need to persuade my bar to by me 2x cdj 2000 for xmas ,haahaha cant c tht happening soon

  • i prefer the beat looping on a cdj400 and that is like half the price and then some more, forget record box go serato and 400's or 800's with timecode if you want a big platter

  • Or a DN-S3700 that also have FX and a larger platter and is in a graet value compared whit the 900 or 2000

  • lol 2:24, thats certainly "cala a boca"! :D

  • You should try Traktor or Serato. You could do more than those CDJ are capable of doing.

CDJs will never match what software can do.

I could out mix Roger with my Traktor Software.

  • @project122 hehe tractor is shit, they produce on profesional softwares like ableton,reason,...and cdj is not for producing...so what u said...u r better than him with your tractor software,ha??try these two softwares ,u can just watching in it,its so hard and complicated for use

  • his fingers.. so grose.. <.<

  • really good stuff :)

  • wow the cdj-200 also has the four beat auto loop....

  • do not try to understand this! :P

  • Thats a Djm 700

  • its a djm 700 guys

There's no color effects on it.

the djm 800 has the color effects like filter crush harmonic etc

  • look at his eyes damn his high :D

  • dude always is.

most of those uk dj's and ibiza are wastes of drugs

  • serato is better

  • cdj 100 is bether jejeje

  • what mixer does he have between the two CDJ-2000's?

  • @KickMeAndCancel

    You don't know that mixer?

    Pioneer DJM-800

  • aha interesting, cool thanks dude

  • sigh, i own a djm 800 and that is clearly a djm 700

the blue color effect lights are missing, the master channel is a gray strip, the frequency knobs are gray, it has the single filter button, and theres no giant green tap button

    its a 700, trust me

  • Yeah its a 700 were people saying it was an 800???? there dumb and dont know a whole lot if they did.

  • @hempgru4

    it's a djm 700. djm 800's ftw!

  • @hempgru4 Thats a 700, you are right.

  • @hempgru4 lol its easier to know that by just looking at the text in the top right corner that clearly says djm 700

  • pioneer 800

  • its a djm 700 not a 800

  • i think they only gave him two of this incredible cdj 2000!!!!!!!

  • i wonder how much they paid him to do this

  • he is a Legend the best of the best! I love u Roge!

  • WELL give us the money and ill go and buy it .thanks

  • the magic word is please lol

  • very funny , i wasnt being rude just having a joke ......cheers

  • what a fucking tool

  • yeah.. you should try shaving your facial hair like that one day.. hard not to kick your own ass.

  • @hadi820

    Well said

  • Lol, He sounds just like Vin Diesel!

  • noooooob

  • He's just promoting a feature of the CDJ400 on a $2000 deck... Woaw ! ;)

  • you still have to take your laptop for the hot ques beat grid fail.

  • this is BADKICKASS CDJS!

  • the cdj's 2000 do look good and sound superb.

of course combined with all the pioneer set up,it's difficult to go wrong.

But i do think it is far too expensive.

    don't forget,were are in a recession.

  • it only sounds good with wav or cd,mp3's sound like crap

  • Forget that recession bullshit. It's technology you have to pay for.

  • cdj 2000--> 1800€

  • i tought it was €3000?

  • Nope, suggested retail price for the CDJ-2000 is 1799€

  • what store/place did you find it at? were in two diffrent countrys and mine is more expensive so i mite order it if i can!! is that for the 2 decks and mixer or just decks?

  • 1799 is the suggested price in the press release on the European Pioneer site, dont know how much it costs in shops

    w w w . pioneer . eu / eur / content / press / news / cdj-2000 . html

  • Sorry about the weird format, YouTube wouldnt let me post the url...

  • @undergroundmovment this set is betwen 5000 and 7000 euros

  • denon dj's cd players always had the best looping ... but this quatinzing thing is out of this world !

  • That 'quantizing' thing has been a standard feature in my Traktor Pro. Im not hating, it just seems that Pioneer has copied all of Traktor's features.

  • I agree ... but thats on a computer program, not on a cd player ...

  • Good Point.......

  • i now he is a great dj and all but he looks like that type of guy that just hates kids and he´s kinda gay.... but definitely good dj....

  • Greate video !

    He demos it !

    sweet !

  • ahah i like the spin at like 1:40 :D

  • this looks amazing but i cant afford 2 !!! lol...

what use is the one!! ??

wish it had a double deck option to get you started..

  • buy cheaper decks

  • he's the only one that actually demos the decks, that's cool

  • YOU ARE THE MASTER RS !!

  • all i need is 2 technics and numark vinyl 6.0... so much better for scratch dj's as for techno dj's... i play, mix, loop every effect i want with it...

    peace

  • That is something from the cdj 200... Not amazed yet...

  • Thats sad. Its all about merchandising. Pioneer has money to put on advertisement and thats it. The other brands like Numark, Denon etc has similar equipments but doesnt have the same budget for publicity....

  • WAW, this is what i was waiting for :D

Someone knows what is the track

    @ 2:20

    Absolutely amazing....

  • dude everyone that talkin shit and really think he was serious on this clip is fuckin dumn man. hes just showing YOU what the new shit can do. nothing more. and trust. THIS HEAD REAALLLLY uses 2 bar loops over like 3 tracks on top of each other. hes fuckin raw live

  • ayayayayayyyyy

  • seeing roger doing this live and putting effort (not havin a dig) it works awsomely :D.

  • haha my dad cud do way betta pal!!! loopy loo

  • hes just messing with it not really putting effort in it look at his videos

  • superstar dj?

you must mean superstar producer nothing more!

If i were to spin like in this clip i would be out of work in 5 min!

Denon 3700 kicks this iece of shit in the BUTT!

    2-64 bar AUTOLOOP!, hahahah
