Great footage. I really enjoyed seeing those big VERA machines running and the time lapse trick with the clock. Were they playing the tape backwards to make the secondhand reverse ? or changed it at the clock motor ? or with modern means reversed a part of the original video footage.
And the big man presenting was in his day a British national treasure, Richard Dimbleby, who commentated on the OBs of every state occasion. His sons David and Jonathan stepped into his shoes as broadcasters. There's bound to be a clip of RD's April Fool spoof around here somewhere...
