Thanks for watching. I do go to therapy and also have a pyciatrist for medication. The medication does help. I've been told that Zoloft is the pill of choice for Social Anxiety. It is difficult to live with. Do some research on a good Doc in your area that deals with this.
thanx for the video. i went through post truamatic stress disorder..and one of the disorders associated with that. is social anxiety disorder. i went through S.A.D . im trying to get through it. im still learning...i just came back from a social event last night...i got so shy so fast. and i even people i knew were there. alot of them i knew..but i never talked to them. i get so isolated in events like that. or going out. ..im going through the exact things u said in this video..
I've had social anxiety disorder since I was in my early twenties. Horrible, crippling proble Have you ever been walking behind someone and you want to pass them but instead slow down and just wait till they get further down the sidewalk? Sometimes, before I go outside I'll think that my clothes don't match and I will start to try on all my clothes. I'll look thru the blinds to see if anyone is "out there" (Pink Floyd) before I make my way outside. I feel like Sol Rosenberg of The Jerky Boys!
They follow me around and call me names. I can't process them because I have no emotion. It is awkward because I worry that they will physically assualt me, but they are cowards, so it's not a big risk. I'm supposed to kill myself, but I want to watch this go down and hear the screams of too late.
Condition your self-worth by knocking down those automatic negative thoughts (ants). You have been lambasted by these ants all your life, have you not? That is because that's what you were taught, whether you realize it or not. You have been taught that people evaluate and judge you on a deep and fundamental level... whether you realize it or not. This is what has crippled much of your personality. If negative thoughts can keep you in chains... you lose all day every day.
Hi, Keith. I'm a 20 year old guy diagnosed with SAD. I know how shitty you feel. Some days you're good and some days your bad, but mostly bad. You're lucky to have a wife who supports you. I've never had a girlfriend and doubt I ever will.
i really enjoyed your video. im 25, also quit drinking 3 yrs ago. and its right, self-medication is what its used for. thank u and looking 4wardto ur next post
One of the best cures for this kind of problem is exercice
Truly, a good 30-60 minute workout every day regularly and a good effort to observe daily routines can make you feel much better about yourself and improve every aspect of your life in a natural way. The more you exercice the more energy you have, and the better your brain is capable of dealing with anxiety symptoms
hi do you go out now alone? cos i have the same problem i dont go out im so scared and i dont know how im going to get rid of this social anxiety its very difficult
totally understand you.. im 43 and have same problems and its getting better.. theres always hope.. stay in touch with the man upstairs and always ask for guidance and strength.
I understand you so well because we have almost the same age and I had severe social phobia (+ many other situations) for more than 10 years and I recovered on the last 3 years making my personal recovery model. On my channel I have added a few videos about the recovery model. I have also made a website to help social phobics : social phobia recovery
Thanks again for sharing your life with social phobia
It doesnt seem like your medication is helping you at all. I have done alot of research and Wellbutrin barely helps for Social Anxiety psychiatrists have also told me that. Prozac helps the most with anxiety or obsessive compulsive disorders which is related to the repetitve negative thoughts that we all have about ourselves and other people, so you should maybe try switching.
Wow, also hard to believe some therapists could be life that, couldn't put their own shit aside. Amazing, but I guess they're out there.

Hey Keith - glad you've shared this. Looks like 9 months ago you were doing therapy and taking medication. How are things for you now?
