As the majority of our country has been under Turkish dominance for about 7-8 centuries, we took many words from Turkish which replaced our own ethnic words. Of course "duduk" is not Armenian, in our language it is called "ծիրանափող", "tsiranapogh", which literally means "tube from apricot tree", as our grandfathers were making this ingenious instrument from apricot tree. Now let's enjoy the genius music and performance :)

Duduk (the one from the highlands)is an Armenian instrument, its origin are from the ancient highlands of armenia and the caucasus. also kurds didnt help armenians during 1915 they didnt help but killed armenians.

Duduk is a double reed instrument. If you search equivalents for Duduk, you will find nothing. There is a turkish copy called "Mey". You will see, if you try to search "Mey" in Wikipedia, you will only find Duduk, as traditional armenian and original instrument of antiquity.
