Blake, in turn, took the 311 rendition and added his own flare to it. So technically, he did cover 311's rendition of The Cure's original Love Song. The original wasn't that great to begin with... 311 made the song what it should have been in the first place.

I don't think this is trash at all. Blake did very well with this song. I prefer 311 singing it, but I still think he did good. I'd rather listen to 311's version of Love Song than The Cure's. They made it their own. That's just me, though.

This is a simple kind of reggae song - for me. It sounds kinda like that. But, wutever genre that it is actually is ... Blake sing this song very funky and simple-but-brilliant. I dunno what really influence Blake but he sounds more to new age pop and he definitely not suit to 70s or 80s tune. Keep it up Blake!

you don't need to have a big voice or shout all the time to be known as a good singer and that's what blake's all about. his voice is smooth , beautiful and touching and makes you enjoy the song from the time you start listening to.
