  • WTF I know this is probably not the place to vent on the subject but, every since Google took over YT, it has been a nightmare. I love all the great guitar vids, especially yours. Now when I try to watch it is nothing but problems. Most of the time I get the fist 5-15 secs, and then nothing. The bar at the bottom of screen goes from 5 secs to full , but will not play past. Or goes right to end showing blocks of vids. WTF Google give us back our old YT.Google SUCKS. Are your vids. anywhere else

  • Music I've listened to for years and now thanks to you, I can play them!! Thanks, you do great work.

  • I use my thumb and 3 of my fingers to play this. I personally find it much easier.

  • No joke, I've been playing for 3 months, and I've got the intro down. I didn't think it was really that hard. Just practice.

  • i use my pick instead of my thumb because it makes it a little louder. but hey to each his own haha that;s a boss guitar though

  • dude, you said g-string! :) yeah....lame joke, i know

  • @vladamirrrr Yes, it is lame. And I confess I giggle a little bit in my mind every time I say g-string.

  • @privettricker not as bad as when youre fumbling the strap as a friend asks you to play a song, and the first thing you say is hang on let me get this strap on.

  • @Spiegel420 LOL

  • Damn, that guitar sounds incredible.

Is that your baby? Every guitar player has their "baby", that would be a good one to claim as such.

  • Awesome lesson!! and not every lesson has to be for beginners. beginners get the vast majority of lessons and this is really a notch or two above that level. Nicely done. Glad i found this and i have now subscribed.

  • the easiest way to get down to that funky chord is to start with the Am using your middle finger on the b string instead of your index finger... then two of the fingers don't even have to change strings when it goes to that funky chord...

  • @witster18 nice!!!

  • just to let ya know, the chord at 3:10 is same as Am7. For that part i just play Am/AM7/Dm. Try the normal Am7 and that chord you played, and it sounds the exact same, for me anyway ha

  • @Abz90L sorry,its 3:06 not 10

  • dude, YOUR AWESOME, your amaziing man and thank you for this lesson, its hard to find a tab for this song or lesson

  • @colouredfreeways No, not awesome. I've just accumulated a lot of songs because I'm so damn old!

  • less talk and more showing chords!!!!!

  • @DCemblemMaster Last I checked, I don't work for you. But I've given your comment its due attention, and my response is: Less commenting and more shutting the f*** up!!!!!

  • I couldn't help but to sing along xDD

  • Never touched a guitar in my life but thats the song I wanna play :P...

  • @unab84 It's not too late to start learning.

  • HA!! You said not for beginners and ive been only playing for year and taking lessons for like 5 months and NAILEED IT!

  • @OurAmericanBand You're lucky. Most players take a little longer to get to that point.

  • @privettricker yep you'd be right sir haha

  • @OurAmericanBand someones a little full of them self

  • Hmm I play it differently but I really like your version too. I might pick a few things up from it. Thanks!

  • @ARVNpistola313 Yes, that's the whole point. Don't play it just like me. Just learn the building blocks and then make a song your own, putting your own personality into it.

  • Thanks for Another great lesson. I've always played with a pick can you let me know how you strumming without the pick do you hit the strings with the nail of your pointer finger? This will be a good song (albeit challenging) learn the technique of finger strum.

  • @Beatlesyeahyeah It's actually a '79 Knebworth shirt done in ITTOD style.

  • .on the 3rd chord(the chord after the chord after the Amin) whenever ever I play the chord and go from that 3rd fret b string to 1st fret I pull that note off (b string, 1st fret)and I do it every time. What do I do to stop it?

  • Excellent thank you

  • Great video. Thank you!

  • Nice guitar!

  • how you play the F with your thumb?

  • @Brandon18valensi LOL, it's true

  • @Brandon18valensi lol strange i thought till i saw this that i was the only one, yay for lumberjack hands!

  • 5 Stars

  • good tutorial in fact i learned it better than when i tried others.

  • That chord you didn't know is an Amin7 (It's a D-shaped barre chord). So anyone who can't get that chord change can simply strum Am, add their pinky to strum again, and then slide up to the Dmin. Or for the Am7 you can slide up to two frets above the Dm chord (which makes a Amin7add9, but it still sounds OK).

  • @daregularperson Yeah, what he said! Thanks for posting.

  • @privettricker Who is he? Me?

  • @daregularperson He is you!

  • @privettricker Oh, hi! I've just never heard that expression, I guess. Also, forgive my commenting on too many of your videos. :P I'm going through them.

  • nice fiddle what year is it

  • Nothing vintage -- just a 2001 J200.

Check out my video for Lay Lady Lay, and right at the start you can see the crazy flame on the back side of the guitar. Sweeeeet.

  • Your lessons and covers are very helpful. These are going to help me learn these tunes

  • So glad to hear it.

And once you learn a few tunes, you can go ahead and teach someone else!

  • Great, lad! Ta very much!
