I don't know, it just played the awsome version. When i played the story for the first time and reached the Mute City Grand Prix, the awsome theme played and i said to myself, "Okay, so that's where it is!" I thought that was the only way to listen to that version.

You can only unlock the song this way : In the F-Zero GX Shop, enter X, X, X, Y, X, X, X, Y, Z, Z, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT (LEFT and RIGHT with the D-pad) and then it's in the shop and you must pay 99 stickers.
