I have the same model and i like it, i have bought over 3 different a380's, i dont know where to find the overland one, can you maybe send me a link to that one, thanks
your notes talk of the wheels not rotating when on the ground, - is probably the fact that you are recording a replay, and on the paused/finished simulation you have the parking brake on. Make sure you release the parking brake before doing a replay - I find sorts this issue out. . .
Hi I have the Airbus A380 Overland fs2004. I Ahbe as a virtual cockpit, and was just wondering since a ILS landing Airbus A380 makes as the display of Overland course not. Thanks
@shamma1977 Please get yourself one at the earliest opportunity. You will be amazed. Imagine leaning into the screen and your instruments zoom in just as in real life. 6 DOF.
You have to do some "basic" aligning of the aircraft to the runway after given the final instruction to turn and initial clearance to land. Assuming you have entered the ILS frequencies right, you'd intercept those signals soon enough after (established on the localizer) and the ILS system takes over and starts aligning the aircraft to the runway.
can you teach me how to completely download the a380 virtual cockpit like you did? please i have the quantas a380 and it flies awsome but i have no vc i just have the 747 2d
Well, I didn't download the VC separately, the model came complete with it. If you want a VC for the model that you have, then you can try AVSIM[dot]com or FlightSim[dot]com. My best advice is to buy the Overland A380; I think it's the best model out now. Hope this helps :-)
I can't remember exactly, but I think you're right that the glide path indicators don't show on the PFD, however, you CAN use the ILS system in the model because the landing you watched in this video was in fact a full ILS landing; I disconnected the AP at 150 ft when I could make out the runway.
joel9brasil1991, I think you enter the required frequency in the radio while in the VC view, I don't remember it having a separate button for the radio stack.
Yes it is, it costs 20 Euros and comes with 15 different liveries (one of which is BA). I'll send you the company's website (and others where you may find something that is freeware) in a message.
I think the minimum runway visibility range (RVR) for an airport to remain operational is approx 92 meters (300 feet = 1/16 mile). So we can still be in business :)
I think it is just as long as you don't expect as much detail as in a PMDG product. Then again, its that much cheaper. It does come in 15 different liveries and it does include a FMC. I also listed a small flaw in the video info. You can see many screen shots on afs-design site and ask for a demo version.
This is because the A380's wings are so spanned out wide such that engines 1 and 4 are overhanging outside of the width of the runway. Thus reversing engines 1 and 4 will cause FOD (foreign object damage). Hope this helps.

hey how did you get the gaguse to work in that a380
JACKO13100 2 years ago
I didn't really do anything to make them work, they just did because it was part of the basic package. Do you have problems with yours?
shamma1977 2 years ago
hey do u have fmc on this plane? and if so does it work properly
3913792 2 years ago
Nope! Check out the A380 from Overland, doesn't have a FMC either but a much better model overall.
shamma1977 2 years ago
how do you know when you are estbablished on the localizer? and how do you get the plane to align itself to the runway?
Tamtatickal 2 years ago

You can download a demo of it from AVSIM[dot]com. However, I do recommend that you get the Overland model, it's way better model all around.
shamma1977 2 years ago
Hell NO! This is a really unrealistic add on.

It's not the best. I found out later about the better A380 model by Overland.

Thanks for the feedback!

shamma1977 3 years ago
very nice =) thats near zero visibility ! is it about 1/8 of a mile visibility ?
fpx2gwak 3 years ago
Thank you :)
Yes, I choose the built in fogged in weather setting and then dropped the visibility to 1/8 mile.
shamma1977 3 years ago
No problem .
ahh ok i thought so .=) what speed does A380 normally land ? and is A380 only capable of doing reverse with engine #2 and #3 ?
fpx2gwak 3 years ago
Around 160 kts. I think I touched down just below that.
Yeah the A380 is actually design to reverse thrust on engines 2 and 3 only. Haven't figured out exactly why yet!
watch?v=JO9u-NarcFc&feature=related
watch?v=7QF1j_iCjRo&NR=1

This is because the A380's wings are so spanned out wide such that engines 1 and 4 are overhanging outside of the width of the runway. Thus reversing engines 1 and 4 will cause FOD (foreign object damage). Hope this helps.
yijia032 3 years ago
You know, I actually read that a few months back on online forum, just wasn't sure since the documentary about the A380 doesn't highlight it at all!
Thanks for confirming :)
