  • is the ez 200 better than this one?

    this has grandpiano sound too?

  • @PuzZzlLPiieCe

The Ez-250i was a step up over th EZ-200. The differences are subtle but are there. The LED display in the 250i is backlit. The 250i can load a few midi files in flash ram. The 250i can split and layer the keyboard and can play a "variation" such as a repeat marimba sound. The 250i came with a music stand. The 250i came with usb midi. The 200 uses old style midi jacks. Which is better depends on what you want to do with it. I think the speakers are better on the 250i.

  • dude could you upload more of these? I'm not sure if I should buy this second hand, still thinking... it seems nice, cool gadget, not in produvtion anymore...

input like moonlight sonata 3rd movement =)

  • Hi, I have this keyboard from new but the hop had lost the software game you have. Been trying to download it but can't find it anywhere...any chance of paying for a copy?

  • @Tink0027, I've lost the CD too :( But I have it installed on my computer. I'll send you a message if I ever find it.

  • Is this true that Yamaha EZ-250i can take any regular midi file and light up keys for that. If so it's great for learning. I read that EZ 200 need special MIDI files for that

  • Yes, it can take any midi file! The only problem is often midi files are made up of multiple instruments and the EZ-250i won't know which instrument to play unless you edit the midi on a computer and simplify or re-order the instruments so that the lead instrument is the one displayed by the keys. You can use the built in system on the keyboard to switch learning modes between instrument tracks but it's clumsy. For this Konami Keyboardmania game, the keyboard comes with a converter program.

  • @SNK038 Yes, but there is a problem if the MIDI file does not have MIDI reset command at the beginning or end of the file. So after playing MIDI-0 file the MIDI-1 can get confused with the instruments. Same goes for switching from GS-MIDI to XG-MIDI file. It will use last instruments from the group it has selected, not the correct ones, as EZ-250i has GM and XG tone selections.

  • @rpdigital17, hello, I am not so well versed on the technical information of Midi. How would I go about fixing this? Right now I am just manually changing the instrument tracks in GuitarPro.

  • @SNK038 Happy new year! You cannot fix the incompatibilty of MIDI-formats or un-perfect MIDI-files. You can just create MIDI-reset file with your MIDI-editor software or find one on the internet (url: sonicamigos. com/ polyphontics_midi_utilities/) without spaces.

  • nice! where did u get the backin track 4 that?
