I always get soooo happy when you post videos about this.. Because so many adopted kids (who didn't have an open adoption) feel like searching for their parents later on in life, to find out where they're coming from, why they do this and that, etc. Lucky Sawyer is never going to feel that way, because he already knows! He's just going to be a happy boy, and man later on, and never going to feel ''lost''.. I'm so happy for all of you!
It's so great that you still have contact with not only Sawyer's b-mom but b-dad too! Was it hard to hear the news that Jason is having another baby so young? As an adoptive parent who has struggled for years to conceive as well, I know if it was me, that would be really hard news to swallow. I mean it's great that he appears to be growing up and maturing but do you still have the pangs of jealousy? I know I would.

I am happy for Jason, he has grown so much as a person; it's easy to see that from the videos he is in as well as what little updates you give on him and a Lauren. Sawyer knows and always will know that he has all these people who love him every much. He(Sawyer) is going to have one BIG family. Jason is going to be pretty close to were i live. Jason is already a great dad "Bio-Dad to Sawyer". The future has a lot in store for all of the important people in Sawyers' life.

Jason seems to be in the right direction. Life happens and now he is bringing another baby into the world. I can see where people question some things but it isn't our lives. Sawyer's birth parents did what they thought was the best thing and now if Jason thinks the best thing is to raise this new baby then that is great. I love how understanding you are. I think Jason has grown from life experiences and he will be a great person (well he is already a great person).
And Aldo it's so great Sawyer won't have to search for possible siblings and parents latter on. He will always know them which is wonderful. In my eyes you are creating the perfect life for this baby. Your next baby will be do lucky go. Become part of your family.
He should always let the other baby know Sawyer and Sawyer should always know about the other baby and they wont think anything of it they will just always know what happened and why!!!

Thanks for sharing this video. A part of me feels like if my adopted son's father or mother had a baby (like in this case) I would want that child as well.. since it is a sibling of my child. Did you have those thoughts at all?
This may be a really dumb question but I have no clue how adoption works.. is there anyway that the birth parents would be able to take the child back legally in the future? Hope that makes sense!
@JenNTim509 I did have those thought but not exactly like that. I guess the best way to explain it is that I felt like that was a part of Sawyer that I will never have but that I should have. Meaning I felt like his siblings should come from us because that is the traditional way. He is going to have a sister but Im not the sister's mother. I'm still trying to understand it myself. LOL And no the birth parents can not take back the child once the adoption is finalized.
Also, I just found you & subscribed Candace. I remember seeing you on Lucy's video & thought it was so amazing the lengths you went to so he could have breast milk. I nursed my son for 18 months & if I had adopted I would have done the same thing. He is just a few weeks younger than Sawyer...my son, Vince, was born December 1st. This is really a neat video...wonderful to see the birth father's perspective. He seems like he has a good head on his shoulders & wants to succeed in life. The fact that he chose a better life for his child..2 find adoptive parents to love him & care for him in a way he wasn't capable of was a beautiful, selfless act...he is an amazing person. I was adopted and my little sister asked the "why me and not them?" question. It wasn't out of jealously but in curiousness. It's hard wondering but I don't worry sawyer will be upset. Adoption makes you secure in your family. It really makes you a much stronger person.

Wow, there will be many different opinions on this video I am sure. However I think that what you have with the Birth parents is wonderful. When you say why is it so easy for some? Think of it as everything happens for a reason. God knows exactly what he is doing. He knew that Sawyer would come on this earth for a purpose. And God knew that he would need you and you would need him. You are great parents.

At first i was a little shocked but yet not suprised. No offense. He seems as though he does have his life set on the right path. Hopefully with the future sawyer and his future sister will be close.

Wow, there will be many different opinions on this video I am sure. However I think that what you have with the Birth parents is wonderful. When you say why is it so easy for some? Think of it as everything happens for a reason. God knows exactly what he is doing. He knew that Sawyer would come on this earth for a purpose. And God knew that he would need you and you would need him. You are great parents.

it's sad, but true, teen parents, usually have another child(ren) within a couple years of their last. but jason seems ambitious and hard working though, he will probably do well in life!

Wow, I can't imagine what you guys are thinking.. Im glad for him that he's going into the marines and starting a life. But it is crazy.. But Sawyer has AMAZING PARENTS!!!!
