@TopofTheMocks The Pro is thinner, made of metal and is more powerful and is more for the photography people (especially for the 15" +17" models) and the basic macbook is more for the first macbook users, that's what my brother says and he has both.

Why are these so expensive when the specs are crap probably because of the make apple but I just bought a 14.4ghz quad core with 8gb ram. tower pc which spec wise is much much better than any mac. And it cost me 290£ these cost what a 800£ that's just stupid for what it can do I think. These are way overpriced.

The track pad isn't broken. It has a built in hardware 'click' much like a button that would be placed below the trackpad, but Apple built it in.
