Communism in theory isn't bad. Stalin made it bad. Millions of soviets suffered hunger in countryside or slavery in labor camps. But Stalin and his comrades in Kremlin had a very wealthy life. Is that equal communism? People had actually no option to lead their country. People had in fact no rights at all. It was forbidden to move in own country without passports. And passports were locked in by authorities. Stalin was a dictator and he ruled only by himself. Communism in USSR were a big lie.

olksi2, you are completely right. communism seems perfect, even though i personally prefer materialism and capitalism; communism, socialism, and foremost, Marxism gives a voice to the "common man" and thus tries to remove the entire class structure. the only problem is that when you have a setup as this, who is in charge? if everyone is in charge, then isn't it just democracy? and if a select few are in charge, then it is just like any other modern government....

True to the fact that Russia does not practice communism, however, The Peoples Republic of China does and Stalin influenced them. As for the belief in the power of bullets and guns there is some truth, for the country that you live in is protected with them. Peace can only be obtain with force.
