  • cant help but to compare, think im doin well. though mine doesnt glow in the dark

  • Give Manhattan his steak, god dammit! :)

  • I think what makes Jon(Dr.Manhattan)most unique among other graphic novels or comic book characters is his perception on time and life.Dr.Manhattan,in the Watchmen universe,is humankind's greatest accident and miracle.

  • shloooooong lol

  • Heh. Penises.

  • @SolarOfCore thanks?

  • Can only listen to this version and not the original lol, just doesnt seem right without jon's monologues added in :D

  • This is mans true destiny

  • Just reflects exaclty how i feel right now, thanks for the upload and the music, shit like this helps me get thru my bi polar, thank you

  • @AZZAAZZAAZZA1 Just take your medicine.

  • @Missleanneiscool just shut the fuck up :)

  • hes a bit too sympathetic in the movie, agreed?

  • I still think Dr. Manhattan represents the fascist POV in a society. As you noticed he exerts his will to manipulate his surroundings not fully aware of his power nor his ignorance.... He symbolizes what an ordinary person would percieve as god but he's not. He's just a fascist.

  • @TheHeyyoitsmo no he doesn't represent what most people would think God acts like. He is too apathetic to fit their view of a God that is more loving and connected to people.

  • @Volf99 I just don't get how he says in the movie that he "can control almost anything but human nature" and goes and blows up rorshach for being human, wouldn't that be an attempt to control human nature? a lil off discussion topic but whatever. If he was a god he would be a confused one...

  • @TheHeyyoitsmo If he was a divine being, he would be more like a deity from polytheism than monotheism. I think then it would make sense, heck just look at the bullshit that the Greek gods pulled off to see what I'm talking about

  • @TheHeyyoitsmo

No it displayed his utilitarian sense of morality, as opposed to Rorschach's categorical sense of morality. To say that interfering with someones actions is to manipulate human nature is absurd, you would have to admit that stopping someone from doing something is manipulating human nature, yet you can't manipulate human nature by stopping someones action. Manipulating something like human nature could only mean to change it, which never happens.

  • @TheHeyyoitsmo It depends if you think it is good control or bad control of human nature : ) is it good that they achieved world peace but with the loss of one, or war famine destruction to save the life of one?

  • why does this remind me so much of Dr, Robert Oppenheimer?

  • Give Manhattan his god damn steak already.

  • If Rorschach revealed the truth it actually wouldn't have changed the new world peace. Instead of being united against fake aliens, the world would be united against the monolithic Veidt. That would be a good ending.

Regardless, Manhattan would frown upon Veidt, Rorschach, and the rest of us eh.

  • why he gotta take off his pants and showcase his Wang everywhere

  • @Thesenator64 I was thinking the same thing everytime he was on the screen when I was watching the movie.

  • It is quite funny that mankind seeks ultimate knowledge, and even a paradox that if he gained everything he would probably not know what to do with it.

  • The government tried to give him an helmet with an atom like in the rutherford model(balls spinning around the nucleus), but as it's not a true model he didn't like it and put something he respects, the hydrogen atom, the symbol of quantum mechanics.

  • Why did he had to be strong as fuck? He had like some universal steroids!!!! If the character wasn't so strong then it didn't showed so much greatness and trascendence of the human mind to the actual stereotype we (all humans) have of greatness. Where are the real humans like... Budha or Jesus? they are real, the best humanity can achieve. I kno it's only a movie, comic, etc. but come on...

  • I had never seen this before now.. I composed the music for this video. Really wonderfully put together! And I am a fan of the movie as well :) Cheers! See my website for much more music in this vein by searching google for xerxes music.

  • he needs to wear underwear.

  • @FreemanLambda I agree.

  • Believers are Godz, conceiving of the, discriminated taking walks, to " forbidden stores ", through " merciless " scorching, hot sun burns, while prejudice quench, a thirst on, glasses of Icy, cold beverages dies, a minor long, " before death " from, dehydration buried under, cold uren wills, " Godz that believe " !

  • im not a watchmen buff and i don't know a lot about Manhattan besides seeing this movie a few times, but i always find myself wondering if his viewpoints are that of "the alien" the advanced being we all picture from some place far away. ppl think hes god but he knows hes not, just diff and able to see the universe from a diff perspective, another thing i notice is a lot of hindu symbolism like many hindu gods hes blue and he "draws" his third eye representing its opening &n his new awareness

  • @shmayy if you refer to the symbol of his forehead, i think it is actually the hydrogen symbol in chemistry (nucleus and one electron on its orbit)

  • @AnTr3Y could be... its a circle with a cross and he draws it right on the symbolic spot of the third eye, same place a Hindu would. It could stand for lots of different things...I've seen some really interesting stuff about the christian significance of the cross in a circle.

  • @shmayy i found out that it is the representative of a hydrogen atom. the government superheroized him and they tried to give him a helmet with an atom symbol on it, the nucleus with 3 orbiting electrons. he was having none of that because he felt it did not apply to him so he drew the hydrogen atom on his forehead and it became his symbol. it is written in the comic book.

  • @AnTr3Y oh damn i didnt re-watch the video until just now, for some reason i could have sworn the symbol he drew was a cross in a circle but its a circle and dot. thats interesting about the comic, i thought the director had changed something or strayed from the original publication (as directors often do) but yea its def what you said. its on his third eye for sure too, right where a Hindu would put their mark. whatever happened to him yielded him blue in appearance, just like the Hindu gods

  • @AnTr3Y I think so too and (this is only my imagination) but that symbol also refers to planet earth in a wide solar system view. Don't you think? Earth, the moon and even the color of the character.... Just adding another point of view here.

  • @mcbrave15 well... man, yea... it could be, but it also could mean many things cause dr manhatten is so damn cool!

  • @AnTr3Y Yes he is!!!!!

  • this isnt his song hurt

  • This really good love this video

  • LONG LIVE THE HYDROGEN!

  • why is it that this man speaks what we all know is true, but are in denial about

  • dr Manhattan is god

  • Transhumanism.

  • poetry

  • ej is a littte bitch

  • THANX!!!

  • Doe's anyone know the name of this song??? If so, plz post it. It's kick ass!!

  • @marlon19725151 adrift by xerxes

  • LL Reasearch and the Ra Materials Fifth Density. This movie has tons of hidden truth.

  • 5 stars, title of the song please ?

  • Very well done! Good job!

  • Superman exists. He doesn't work in Daily Planet, he doesn't save kittens from the trees, and he truly acts like a superhuman - not trying to inspire humanity to be better by saving people's lives, because he knows that he can't change human nature.

  • what sympolizes the sign on manhattan's forehead??????

  • @AlexSali the element hydrogen!

  • @cyber342 i always wondered why he made that element's diagram

  • @doobeedoobeedooo--- because the state had proposed an atomic model drawn that he did not feel at all real

  • @doobeedoobeedooo Thats a sign of Hydrogen!

  • @AlexSali

    dildo

  • The best video about Dr Manhattan

  • all i have to say is, very well fdone, very suttle, in fact its bloody wonderful. i will go now and leve th you tube comments section to thbe morons. B ut thankyou, you certainly cant change human nature, but you can remoe a reaction that makes a famous man lament...

  • I felt that the cinematic version didn't convey his character very well. There was little to no explanation as to why he opts to rock out with his blue cock out, and it was like I was supposed to take it as a given that a demigod would want to have a girlfriend.

The character definitely has the potential to be mind-blowing but I suspect I'd have to actually read the original to get any satisfaction out of him.

  • "xerxes - adrift"

  • What kind of music is this. Who composed it. Please reply. Thanks. I really like it. Very relaxing.

  • ok bitches i remove my freaking comment.

    P.S Long live Dr.Manhattan

  • dr fabulous xD

  • Es el mejor video que he visto en you tube de del Dr. Manhattan felicidades

  • music download please :)

  • hey where you get the music from

  • DarthXephron...come on "NO HOMO" do you think anyone gives a rats ass that you're not gay. Hate that term

  • Hey Brother i was trying to subscribe to your and page bu t there is a block whats good can i get on? great work by the way Peace

  • If you ask me, all the tribute should go to Gregg Plitt who stood model for Dr. Manhattans awesome, muscular body :-8

  • You may have a point there... But, all the glory shouldn't go just for the body... If it wasn't for Billy Crudup's delicate voice, all it'd have been is a deep tone screaming body... Think for yourself, a god-like body and a child-like delicate voice, I think that's what's called harmony... Both Plitt and Crudup did their job very well...

  • Somehow you are right - I would not like to see a Dr. Manhattan with Greg Plitts voice ^^

  • Dr. Manhattan is a Mollusk

  • The scenes with Dr Manhatten were worth sitting through the rest of the gritty, grisly images of the film. He was profound and definitely more like a god or at least an alien of the sort we need more of. :D

  • thank you i get that all the time

  • Much for the same reason you might not feel obliged to wear clothes if you lived among nothing but insects.

  • Well you see nothing would look super hero like if he wore something. He's better off naked. no homo.

  • amazingly good work! a fitting tribute to such a character.

  • Great scene, what is the name of the song?

  • Fantastic movie, very well put together

  • Well put together, good collaboration music and footage work well together. Very atmospheric ('', ).

Whats the track by the way? I really like it.

  • I have walked on the surface of the Sun... witnessed events so tiny and so fast, that they can hardly be said to have occurred at all.

  • @TheScienceFoundation yea man that line was tight wasnt it. He was like Ive seen it all so what can u as a human possible do to me. Dr. M was vicious lol

  • @TheScienceFoundation An apt description of the history and eventual extinction of the human race.

  • @TheScienceFoundation This reminds me so much of that 'tears in the rain' speech in Blade Runner.

  • Epic just greatness

  • Sometimes.. I wish I could look through the eyes of Dr. Manhattan. Then maybe I could see why the world seems to ignore me..distance themselves from me..Maybe it would help me understand why the only way I can express my thoughts is through a computer.

    Great video

  • @zxeritross You touched me. I love your choice of words. Quite intelligent to put it simply.

  • @zxeritross I am not trying to put you down. However, it may be a possibility that it is not the world that doesn't understand you, but you that doesn't understand the world.

    There is no Utopia.

  • @zxeritross

"why the world seems to ignore me"

"the only way I can express my thoughts is through a computer"

I think I found your problem.

I would recommend you stop giving a shit and express yourself in the real world. We've got 80 years and then it's over; you don't have the time to be shy.

  • @zxeritross the problem is ego, most of us are unwilling to let go of our ego's. because of that we dont listen enough to each others hearts, only our own wants and desires and whatever gets in the way of that, usualy just gets trampled

  • @zxeritross Amazing thought.

  • @zxeritross amazing

  • @zxeritross do you really want to know?

  • @zxeritross Perhaps you should find an outlet for your loneliness. Some people write, create, and intereact. The computer is not always the best outlet.

  • @zxeritross to be honest... You can't even truly express your thoughts through a computer either. If you go too far you will again be perceived as a threat, projected onto, marginalized, then attacked.

The difference that you are noticing when you express your thoughts here is that peoples egos are a little thinner. Also, there is at least one layer missing from your ego as well, that layer being your appearance.

  • @zxeritross it was a year ago now, you might have figured it out... but for me it's probably because I did not talk as much as my brain has not grown accustomed to thinking fast enough, but that's ok, I became good to think bigger thoughts instead ^^

  • @zxeritross Demand an explaination if you can. I wish I had.
