  • 2:04 Measure 37 the A in the left hand (3/8ths before end of the measure and the 4/3 A Major chord after it in the LH) could be more pronounced... But I am obsessive. This is one of my favorite renditions I've heard on youtube, and similar to how I would interpret it myself. Beautiful!

  • nicely done!!

  • This account of the piece is closest to what I've in mind. A bit more subtlety, not rushing the 'a tempo' portions the way some of the other pianists (even greats like Horowitz, Richter!) and it would be even better.

Beautiful!! While I like the other renderings available here on YouTube as well (and I'm certainly not and never will be any sort of great, guaranteed!!), this perhaps is the loveliest of all!

  • I've dared write the above review in light of my learning this piece. Most certainly it's so important not to lose one's own feeling for the piece, one's own specific vision - and if that means one's being all the less valued when playing this piece (e.g., by being somewhat more sober in tempo - some of the fluctuations I've been hearing on top of setting a fast initial rate happen to disturb me!), so be it...

  • Beautifully played,Werner.
