TYVM I have a mazda 6 and I was looking for something like this because the chains didn't work in the mazda 6 tires and your review really help me!! thanks!! <3
thanks for posting. i used my set for the first time today on a citroen C4 (front wheel drive auto) and they were pretty good. easy to use I have recomended them to my friends.
I have a two pairs of these (one for my Vaux Corsa and one pair for the wife's Renault Clio). Bought these last year and used a few times. With the recent snowfall in South Yorkshire I really got the chance to test these out. Absolutely excellent. I was the only one able to get of my cul-de-sac which has over 12 inches of snow. The only limiting factor is the ground clearance! Grip is very impressive.
waste of money. u drive a 40000$ rx8 in the winter, i drive a 1200$ gmc seirra. and i dotn need to get out nd put these stupid things on. i pull peices of shit likes yours outta the ditch.
@Sledneck0013 its not all about the car...its also important to have a brain if you know what I mean...If you see a big pile of snow ..that doesnt mean you should park there.....
btw an rx8 doesnt go for 40k if its used....so dont go jumping to conclusions about the pricing lol.....
Thanks for posting this. Finally a video for Autosocks on a rear wheel drive car.I am going to invest in a pair of these as my BMW is useless in the snow and ice.I've got dynamic traction control which is supposed to help in yhe snow-yeah right!
Just for the record, I bought a set in 2004 for my RX-8 (so two pairs) in size 665 which is for the 225x45R18 wheels on the RX-8. They worked fine but were a bit tight.
I today used them on my Mazda6 (front wheel drive) and even with 205X55R16 they fitted and been fine over 15 miles of treacherous roads from Wokingham to Maidenhead.
I would also recommend to fit all 4 corners even on front wheel drive cars.
Yeah you are right, I've tried all varieties of throttle in these conditions, plus starting in 2nd gear, traction control on or off .. and its all hopeless without these autosocks
Your video convinced me to buy a pair and I have to say that they live up to the advertising. No problems with traction now. Shame you don't get a commission.
How do u tuck the sock under the tire?

It is recommended that RWD have socks on all four wheels
As yet i only have one pair and have yet to use them 'in anger' but it's a good illustration of how they help RWD mazdas. Ty

I just ordered some of these for my Monaro, which like the RX8 just wont move on snow or ice. Look like they work well!
mackie1001 2 years ago
I thought thr rx8 would cope with it's tc.

This is stupid.. The drivers floors it without it and don't when it's on. OFC it will seem a lot bettter.
To it's defence i do beleve it's better than not having it, but this is just silly
Tobbytheking 2 years ago
He didn't floor it. I've got an RX-8 and in those conditions just the tiniest amount of throttle will spin the wheels.

Ok,i agree, but you must mount these socks a little better...or not?

@Tobbytheking
I agree, most people floor it whenever they get stuck and hope for the best! That sure isnt the way to go. =D
