Fascism (under the actual correct definition) as actually not that bad of a political system. Americans use the word incorrectly to describe anything "mean" or "evil".
Either way, the US is nothing resembling a fascism. It has some capitalist elements and some socialist elements, but fascism was a very specific mixture of mercantilism and nationalist socialism.
Communism on the other hand, is a complete joke and rarely taken seriously by anyone but third-worlders and teenagers.

Specific economic systems never last and change and warp on a constant basis to either the people's or the establishments rule.
