Try out Vineyard just do a web search for vineyard linux and it will give you a page for the vineyard project, and installing steam and running it works amazing. also if you need some tutorials look up linuxspatry here on youtube, he has some mighty fine help videos :) cheers mate

@GlitchesofWar Everybody knows but clearly you don't that you must disable compiz in order to run these things properly. I'm not surprised your cpu usage is so high.

@fatriff CPU usage is from the recorder, I disabled Compiz and everything with the same result.
