Yeah i used to work at brighthouse just opposite the peartree pub and i remember from my crossing the road to the pear tree just how much you do take your life into your own hands if you don't use the designated crossing 70 yards up the road.
And regarding the 24 yr old who was killed afew days ago, the murderer is said to live pretty much around the corner from me....that in my opinion is just too close for comfort!

I was down this road just after it happenned. It was terrible, and it seems like something bad happens down that high street every week, not two weeks ago someone had a fit and cracked his head open in the biscuit aisle in sainsbury's....
