I hate powder that thick. One time I was skiing on ice and picked up a bit of speed, then hit an area of really deep powder, my skiis stopped, but the rest of me kept moving forward, so I did a massive somersault in the air, rolled in the snow and ended up about 100m away from my skis ahah epic fail.
yea kinda, it's to keep yourself in control of your speed - if you just went straight you build speed really really fast and quickly get out of control
im a bit late but the turns or carves are to stay in control and ready so that if you need to move in a hurry (small avalance you dont need to make bigger) you just turn out of the way. youl also see that turning helps if you watch any videos with tree skiing. especially on anything stepper than a blue you will want to turn or you will get a ticked ripped in a hurry.
im guessin i pry got pretty close to gettin my pass yanked last year... borderline black steepness... decided to see how fast i could go at my local hill... absolute blast... took the wax off of my skis so im guessin i was movin pretty good... and carving at that speed is an extreme adrenaline rush
i did that exepet i did get my pass yanked and i wrecked the base on my skis i burnt them out. lol funny now not then. especilay because it was like a 3 day $150 pas thay said dont come back
As a downhill ski racer, i got challenged by a ski patroller for "skiing out of control" down a black, she was sideslipping, couldn't handle an easy black groomer. I was in a tuck carving a huge turn then i opened up on the bottom and shot right onto the cat track and tucked that to get to the next lift w/o skating. she caught up to me in the lift line. Told me i was out of control, I showed her my FIS member card, told her i was a downhill ski racer, she didn't know what it was i laughed.
@powderkillr wow, ur ski patrollers must be real bitches, my local hill supposedly doesnt allow tree skiing but one of the patrollers told me where the best trees were to ski at the hill, they ski em all the time. She didnt know what FIS was, wow she deserves to be shoved off a cliff
@powderkillr that happened to me a couple of times, to be fair, we may not be out of control, but it scares the living balls off everyone else, so she was probable right to tell you off lol
Less heli more work next time gusy.

bigbenslax 2 years ago
heli skiing is very expensive. probably around or above 1000 per day per person.
coldamian 2 years ago
whistler is like 500 i think.
golfguy8899 2 years ago
this had sound when i listened to it
bigbenslax 2 years ago

TAC6456 3 years ago
Because WMG (whatever the fuck they are) don't allow sound to be played.

joselfs 3 years ago
it was reported to be ~$600
we hope the later versions have:
- zoom remotes in your ski poles
- image projection in the googles to see what you are shooting
stay tuned for the 2018 videos...we make ski movies about once per decade and the technology keeps on improving...
