That is just one reason, but I went to NZ many times and I found it really boring. There wasn't a great deal to do and people were a little backwards. Backwards meaning like they weren't up to date with things like music, fashion, culture and lifestyle. Way too many coconuts walking around which makes people uneasy. NZ hasn't seemed to have grown properly and it seems like the progress is quite slow. I have cousins in NZ and they just seem slow & dull. Is this a Kiwi thing?
@13doniva well 1st of its sad that you feel uneasy around islander's most people respond quite well to a smile and a hello and second most islander's live in Auckland (such a shit hole) so the further you travel south the more you'll meet real kiwis.ha ha new and up to date this don't really concern most kiwis i know id rather go fishing, hiking,hunting,skiing, wake boarding,then have the latest man made material things who cares what you look like and what you have as long as your happy.
Point taken I have really only explored Auckland. Hey mate you cannot deny the Coconut population though, I mean they are one of the worst citizens a country can have. I ain't a racist, but statistics show this clearly. When you have a demographic with coconuts around it just brings the area down. Certain areas in OZ have large numbers and they are on the whole pretty useless. I feel sorry for the ones that are decent. It's becoming an epidemic in creating social misfits!

Got some bad news for you then..the original land owners were enslaved,eaten ,and driven from it by the Maori...the Mori Ori were the original land dwellers,hence why it is never mentioned that NZ was taken by conquest. I used to live there too, I live in the States, I miss NZ like hell, when you are born and raised there, you yearn to be back there. I made some choices though, I have to live with those. I am very proud to be a kiwi though.

A country with one of the silliest customs officers together with Australia. They just fine people 200 dollars for just 2 bananas. And they boast about it. Such a rip off.. I protest to go there. There are almost 600,000 Kiwis living in OZ and about 599,000 are on the dole. Furthermore why are there so many Kiwis living overseas???

Its so true iv been living in London now for 4 months and cant stop thinking about home. NZ is the most amazing place, and those of us who call it home are very lucky. Im looking forward to returning soon!!

Got some bad news for you then..the original land owners were enslaved,eaten ,and driven from it by the Maori...the Mori Ori were the original land dwellers,hence why it is never mentioned that NZ was taken by conquest. I expect flaming for this,but it convenient to to twist history to suit a cause.

Hey, why don't you then if you are over 18. Where would you live if you were me and moving over there to find a great piece of land at least a couple of hours drive away from everything to start a really truly green health spa based on arts & music & biodynamic farming, super adobe structures, and food forests? Good soil not at sea level & beautiful which isn't hard in NZ. Which island where abouts to you is a beautiful place one could buy land. You could come visit! Cheers

I used to live there too, I live in the States, I miss NZ like hell, when you are born and raised there, you yearn to be back there. I made some choices though, I have to live with those. I am very proud to be a kiwi though.
I'm finally going to see my family after 7 1/2 long years away.

New Zealand works hard to resolve the sins of ours fathers, furthermore Britian Colonisation has brought plenty to NZ and to say that it was stolen just shows you have very little understanding about What New Zealand is today.

darren, this American doesnt care for baseball or beer,lol. but I do agree, benasabiyim,those rules exist for important reasons. Maybe a little study would enlighten you on that. I spent almost an entire month there, traveling from Aukland to Dunedin and I can tell you, It is as far from boring as you can get. As for me, I love NZ, and cant wait to return.

A country with one of the silliest customs officers together with Australia. They just fine people 200 dollars for just 2 bananas. And they boast about it. Such a rip off.. I protest to go there.
