China is one of the countries that's part of the BRIC(Brazil, Russia, India & China) and those 4 countries are currently the world's fastest economic growing countries. It would be able to make decisions for other countries. The EU is about working together and Britain extending it's influence, not subjugation. @cornel10 well if I dont have my rights but the rights of another interest group or nation, isnt my countries independence at risk_ I mean the people of my country. and I dont want people that come hear to have to starve so they can live here. the foreigns in my country allready speak the language still they have less rights (priveleges). that means its a fake "voluntary empire". people dont want it its imposed to us all. and some tolerate others dont

EU GDP = 18 trillion
China GDP = 4.5 trillion
When we then take into account the per captia eqaution i.e. 18 trillion divided by 500 million as opposed to 4.5 trillion divided by 2 billion....the EU is allot richer than China. That's not even taking into account Gold stocks. The EU is the largest trading block on earth lol.

Another key is where the tech is developed. China will never become the dominating power until it moves away from exporting our tech back to us and they move into thei own high quality market. At the moment their economy depends on the Wests due to this and many reasons.

The biggest problem with China is that their economy depends of slave waged labor. So, if they were to get any richer, they would lose their competitive edge, and South America and south east Asia would take their business. Basically they have no chance of growing much richer the way they are, the government can pocket and invest heaps of money, but they can not increase the people's living standards without losing the economy which supports them, nobody seems to think about that.

Correct. The EU GDP is about 2 billion more than the US although the US has 300 million as opposed to 500 million. That was not my point tho. I was addressing a retard who actually thinks that China's economy is bigger than the EU's lol. It's a mixed picture. The western Eu countries is where the real wealth is and per capita...it's probably more than the US. In saying all of this if China continues to grow like they are then they will hit USA's GDP by 2025 and the EU's by 2027

Yea there's a good chance that internal division of rich and poor will end up collapsing China. They're biggest challenge will be to ensure that all get a piece of the pie. Europeans need to unite and stop thinking of themselves as any different to the other if we are to remain strong in the future. I'm English but even I understand the need for a united Europe including all nations and treating them all as equal partners. It just means the big EU countries will have to sacrifice to gain later.

@29Gixxer You can't compare the EU's economy to China's because the EU is a collaboration between almost all of the countries in Europe while China is just one country. China is one of the countries that's part of the BRIC(Brazil, Russia, India & China) and those 4 countries are currently the world's fastest economic growing countries. China has the world's highest population, which is certainly one of the reasons why it has such a very powerful economy.
