  • my mom always used to make these as a kid! The color came out so pretty! Thanks!

  • @dulce3tat Oh and I thought i was the first to think of this!

  • OMG i really have to try this, nice tip thanks

  • @ukgardener1 Yeah they are pretty groovy!

  • I really enjoy watching your videos!

  • @bevmauri Well thank you very much

  • I'm assuming you peeled the eggs after cooking and before pickling. Can you taste the beet or just the vinegar? Perhaps some pickling spices.... Hmmm, you got me thinking now.

    Regards, Gary

  • @garygardens Oh yeah i did lol!

  • wow, you come up with the most bizarre and interesting food ideas! As we have our chickens now and too many eggs at times, I'm going to have to try this for sure.. Cheers!

  • @Watsamadoing lol Yeah try it out it's pretty cool ;)

  • Thats a cool looking egg , tastes great too I bet......

  • @bowhunter2439 It does taste diferen than just vinegar for sure.

  • Looks yummy! What do you have growing in the background?

  • @ambergoreham Well in the green sprouter it's broccoli seed, and behind that it's a potato plant..I have a video of it just a few weeks ago ;)

  • I don't like beets. I don't like pickled eggs... But those sure do look good. I might have to give it a try. Hope you're feeling better soon.

  • @mengseeker yeah make some if you get friend over or a supper..or something ;) and thanks

  • Hope you are feeling better. Those eggs look very good and colourful like Easter eggs. I must try it. Not sure where I got the tip from now on hard boiled eggs but I have used it for several years and you get a perfect egg every time. Put as many eggs in a sauce pan as you want cover with cold water put on the stove until they start to boil then shut the heat off immediately and let them cool in the water. Perfect for devilled eggs done to a turn .

  • @dalecalder2003 Yeah I am , thanks. They are like easter eggs ;) edible ones. And I have to test out that tip....takes more time I guess tho

  • @jihadacadien Yeah it isn't something that you would do if you are in a hurry for eggs but if you have the time like the day before you are going to need them it is worth the time it produces a just right egg not over done or under done. Wish I could remember where I read it originally.

  • @dalecalder2003 Ah well it's coming from you now lol oh and I added you to my channel's front page hope you don't mind

  • @jihadacadien I don't see how I could mind I don't even know what that means. LOL

  • @dalecalder2003 Well I added a link to your channel on my channel lol you might get more views I guess..

  • Your accent is so adorable! Will you perhaps do a tutorial on making paper and making journals?

  • @evilkittie2103 eh thanks....I plan on doing videos on that but my to do list is too long for now =S

  • Cant beat a pickled egg and a ice cold beer!!!

  • @MrGETitGOTit Oh yes!

  • I love eggs, they hate me. I can't eat them very often because they give me horrible heartburn.

  • @Organigasmic oh! =S Well don't est these, the vinegar will make it worst.

  • My uncle use to make these...they are great! Get well!!

  • @TheVittleVlog thanks

  • looks good! i would want to add some hot spices and things to it..it would be yummy!

i love the color of it the deep red

  • @Pumpkinkid94 Oh yeah you can add anything you want! Plus using different pickling juice will change the taste too ;)

  • Thank you thank you!! I gave my recipe I had for these to a chef where I used to work and forgot to get it back. This way looks much easier anyways!! So pretty.

I also like tossing in some hard boiled eggs when I am simmering homemade teriyaki sauce as well....yummmo.Just slice and serve with your fav chinese food, they are amazing. Great way to spice up ramen noodles on those lazy days.

    Thanks for another great vid :}

  • @taraudall Oh yeah there's a lot of recipes for this....but I guess not as easy as mine! ;) Well the hard part was making the beet preserves lol

  • One of my New Years Reslution was to try new things. This will be one of them.

  • @Allen2045 Cool let me know what you think!

  • cool

  • My husband loves pickled eggs. I usually just use vinegar and crushed red pepper flakes. I think I'll try this when we finish the jar of beets in the fridge. Think it would be good to add something spicy to the beet juice? He likes them HOT!

  • @blairseybell Yeah it gives it a different taste

  • ca ferait pas mal beau sur une salade ca! en passant, un pot en anglais cé ''jar'', pas 'pot' , on dirait tu parle de cannabis XD

  • @PlatypusGuitar lol ben je parle de canabis aussi LOL!

  • whole new look when making deviled eggs, cool!

  • @dianemummvideos Yeah would look nice!

  • what camera do you use?

  • @garryentropy A flip ultra HD..and as much light as I can.

  • Eggs are generally my fav food, made almost ANY way, so a family from the Philippines had me taste "red egg" --but it tasted like PURE SALT!! ew.... They look the same, but it seems like urs wouldn't be as salty, so I wonder if I might like these beet-juice red eggs better than the traditional Filipino red egg.

  • @TABULOUS1

PS: It does look like ur struggling 2stay in high Spirits...Take care of urself & feel better :)

  • @TABULOUS1 thanks, I do feel better than I did last week ;)

  • @TABULOUS1 Well they donn't tast salty at all....but I guess it would deends on the liquid you're using.

  • I work in a hatchery now / i dont like eggs like i used to LOL

  • @ernest302 lol! I bet it would turn you off eggs =S

  • I think the drainage on your spouter is blocked? I am sure you have it under control. What are you sprouting these days buddy? I do one tray of just alfalfa then another tray of a self made secret mix of sunflower, mung, lentils & radish, going to add some broccoli and fenugreek as soon as I can find them!

Great idea to reuse the pickled beet juice, and it puts off the washing up for longer which is all good by me. Would califlower work?

  • @reefcut LOL yeah I probably just gave it a little tug and it goes.....happens sometimes. I'm still with broccoli and alfalfa. but next bags I'm getting will be more broccoli and radish. I'm not a big fan of beans and such. And for cauliflower I thinkthey need to be cooked like beets and such.

  • @GulfCoastJaguarundi Well yeah....I found after they are cold from a good water dip ithe shell get off easier.....sometimes

  • I make them too. They last a long time without refrigeration.

  • @Cannibalriot Well I prefer to put mine in the fridge, just to be safe ;)

  • those are great...I sometimes make them with vinegar and tapitio hot sauce

  • @TheUrbanOutdoors Sounds good!
