This movie was banned in Ireland. This scene is set in the 1950's England when even mentioning the word sex would see you as evil, unwholesome and disgusting. The whole thing is back to front, from the kids making noise when the teacher ENTERS the class, to putting clothes on the lower peg bit. The sex scene is the exact opposite to what one would expect during those times, which is the essence of why British comedy is so different.

Add to this the fact that they had guts to appose convention and lampoon so much religious dogma that I always found them exercising free speech (and thereby protecting it and fighting for it).

What I love about this sketch is that John Cleese portrays a professional educator, (as opposed to a teacher), who is so authoritatian and intolerably boring that he actually manages to make fucking his wife completely uninteresting to a roomful of adolescent boys. Unfurortunately, as a student, I had many of these evil bastards for a variety of subjects, Wish that I'd had Excalibur to exrterminate all of them.
