  • "Mr. Speaker, i'm not about to stab the Prime Minister in the back..."

Haha. This sketch was ahead of it's time.

  • Wayne Hope on the front bench better than Wayne Swan I guess

  • lmfao.... love the exentuates on each word!

    MR SPEAKER

    13 YEARS 13 YEARS!!!!

    lol

  • That was hilarious. Not sure what year this is, but I'd peg that to be a thinly disguised p1sstake of Peter Costello...,,..,. as well as being a general p1sstake of Parliament in general.

  • "Mr. Beazley's own personal White Giant". That is absolute gold :'D

  • Micallef for PM!

  • SCary, if i didnt kno Micallef, it could be our HIGHLY PAID pollies... both funny and unfunny

  • mr speaker, mr speaker.

  • LOL

    Keating was Blaxland not Hotham

  • @bigswano he's referring to Crean

  • When pollies die..they bury them in a 20 foot deep hole......It seems that, deep down, they are really nice people

  • Please upload (if you have it) The one with him telling everyone to shut up

  • 13 years....13 YEAAAAARSSSSSS HAHAHAHAHA

  • timeless. i imagine this to be so old, yet somehow parliament does not seem to have changed one bit.

  • Orda. Oooorda!

  • Used to be a bunch of assholes that lived in this part of the building here.

But we systematically removed them like you would any kind of termite or roach.

  • Nice Costelo parody :))

  • I'd vote for Shaun

  • come on people we need some libertarians, freedom fighters and common sense in parliament.

  • @LibertarianChristian shit yeah!

  • @LibertarianChristian

cause christianity and common sense go hand in hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111~~~~

  • @mcpencil I didn't ask for Christians in parliament... red herring.

  • @LibertarianChristian

    I guess it was, hey.

  • @mcpencil no worries.

  • @LibertarianChristian

    Please read

"A History of God" by Karen Armstrong.

  • Oh I thought this was the actual Australian Parliament lol

  • "We can PROMISE.......we can PROMISE that the Australian people one thing that Labor could never provide in its thirteen years of office, its thirteen YEARS of - hard labour" LOLOLOL

  • 1 person is the Honourable Member for Hotham

  • Mr Beasley's own personal "white giant". That is funny.

  • inapropiate time.........

  • It's pretty much sunk to this since Keating left. He was a spectacular failure, but at least it was real leadership and he wasn't a massive attention whore like Rudd or Gillard

  • micallef is a legend. highly underrated

  • This video is so funny.

  • Who was the member for Hotham who betrayed the Prime Minister in labor's 13 years does anyone know?

  • @Ken0009100

member for Hotham is Simon Crean, probably was back then too.

  • @ppbbs88 Yeah he has been there since 1990 he tried to get his dad's seat in 1977 he lost the preselection to Clyde Holding my dad had a beer with him afterwards Dad ran against I Macphee in the 1980 and 1983 election but lost. I met Simon C in 2006 when he almost lost his seat by preselection.

  • @Ken0009100

Cool, I didn't know that. He would have been pretty young back in '77.

  • @ppbbs88 Yeah.

  • Brilliant!

  • 1 member of parliament gave this a thumbs down

  • The Beazley Quasar.

  • Why would some dried up bottom-feeding husk of a subhuman give a thumbs down to this video?? It's fucking hilarious!

  • @LOLDISNEYLAND, we can only hope that this person actually intended to press 'like' but accidentally did the thumbs down.

  • @depor23 Hope is our only desperation. Impatience can only be defined by us, the public in relation to the government. HURRY THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKING WANKERS!!

Sorry, my political side just licked my keyboard.

  • Don Angel / kerry akermanis in the background!! lol

  • Gosh... How many Hot Air Balloons were inflated above the House that day??? lol! Quite a few I'd say! This is brilliant! Thanks for posting! Too close to the truth!

  • 13 years!

  • This is the best video on YouTube.

  • lol awesome

  • This is such a great parody of the real-life professional time wasters that sit in Parliament House in Canberra. I get so annoyed when they spend more time sledging the opposite party, rather than objectively debating the issues and conducting discourse in the public interest.

  • hahahaha fuck it must have been hard for the people behind him to keep a straight face

  • Oh i like this, this is funny!!! this is fake, right??

  • @Stephen19852009

    It's a comed sketch...Micallef is the man.

  • @bradre3000 lol that's funny is he trying to justify why he is being secret about everything? it seems so realistic with the Speaker yelling out "the honourable member for hoffam!" all the time

  • scratch that.... okay i know its not real haha

  • dumb question, but this isnt real is it? lol

  • nah

  • I don't think so...lol. I don't recognize any of those people from the real parliament

  • Hilarious!

  • Just realized he's rocking a nice Kennett-esque hairstyle

  • "And an answer to the second part of the question... no."

    LOL

  • It's remarkable how similar this is to the Australian parliament

  • @chauncer123 is this not actual footage?

  • @chauncer123 exactly the point

  • @chauncer123 Not at all. "In answer to the honourable member's second question. No"

However, how much of this was heard by Gillard pre and post knifing?

  • @chauncer123 Not at all. "In answer to the honourable member's second question. No"

Who has ever heard such a direct answer?

However, how much of this was heard by Gillard pre and post knifing?

  • @brayrobert201 Well as this came out when the libs were in power Im sure she was watching and laughing along. They're all the same.

  • @chauncer123 I literally thought this wasn't a skit.

  • Fantastic, he should try costello's expressionless grin between sentences

    :-|

  • "troot out willy nilly".. ahaha "i will not hack away at his skull and leave him to die", subtitle.. very nice

  • and.. rainfall, to its highest recorded level since the depression.

    classic

  • the guy who handed him a paper - isn't he also an Australian comedian? He was in "the Librarians" and a couple of other ABC comedys...and his wife is also a comedian? Wayne Hope.

  • yeah i have definitely seen him in other programs, you are correct .. not sure about his wife though

  • its as if I'm watching the real parliament! LOL our politicians are a bunch of egotistical wankers just fighting be in power, great parody!

  • Are you on about the UK Parliament?

If so I agree. A bunch of 658 windbags all of whom are on the gravy train.

  • Take your seat on the gravy train, or rather don't. You're not a crony, there's no seat for you. The gravy train is the only train that runs on time and you're not allowed on board. You paid for the track, you paid for the train, you paid for all the tickets but you may not travel on this service. Your MP can get on, after all his train travel is free because you're paying for it. This is the gravy train, political groupies and hangers on only, if you're a taxpayer, no chance. - Absolute Power

  • Legend!

  • "Mr. Speaker, i'm not about to stab the Prime Minister in the back, by doing that, hack away at his skull with an axe, Mr. Speaker, and eat him, and I don't think anybody hear is seriously asking me to do that"

    LMAO!

Micallef is a Genius / Legend of comedy!

  • Unstupid decisions... 'bout time we had some of that.

  • Micallef for PM!

  • Wow, so accurate it's scary.

Why is every country run by douche bags?

  • Micallef for PM!

  • comedy gold, shaun is a genious!

  • Thirteen YEARS thirteen YEARS of ah...hard Labor...

  • ROFL

  • Sean you are a genious.

    10/10

  • This is so close to the truth. XD And i thought watching the real Question Time was funny

  • Hear Hear!

  • I'd vote for Micallef.

  • LMAO this is so funny

  • This is probably my favourite Micallef sketch. It's such a perfect recreation of parliament in every way.

  • LOL 'good unstupid decisions'

  • Sounds like Costello! Ha! Ha!

  • Yes! Peter Costello was the number one example of a wanker that would rather waste parliamentary time with jibes at the opposition rather than contributing anything meaningful to intelligent discourse.

  • "And rainfall, to its highest recorded level, since the depression....."

    hilarious!

  • AHAHAHA

Mr. Speaker the Honorable member for Brand is looking at me.

  • Shaun Micallef is a comedic genius.

  • Thanks for uploading this. A brilliant sketch by a brilliant team.

  • Wayne Hope is truly the comedic avatar of Tony Abbott. Look at the grin and the body gesture

  • Willie nilly he-he...

  • Great clip, but it takes ten minutes to load a three minute clip....

  • get a better computer

  • One of my favorite Micallef sketches ever. Watch for Francis Greenslade doing his best Peter Costello 'arrogant fuckhead' impression in the background

  • haha, i love this
