  • Did you like how your hair turned out like?

  • WOW I pay 20 dollars just to clip 2 cm of my bangs

  • Omg $1.88 how is that even possible, wow :o

  • You should try Juno Hair Salon. It's everywhere lol. They have amazing service! They massage your hair and they give u refreshments and other amazing things~ You should try~

  • @ttylb4two Yeah I saw it when Martina and Simon talked about it in one of their videos. The employees (at least at the one they went to) spoke English too.

  • I agree with BubzBear2. Bangs are really cheap to get. But actual hair cuts are usually more pricey, especially in town.

  • Damn, that's cheap!

  • do a lot of Koreans speak English in Korea or are you fluent in Hanguel?

  • i pay like 18 dllers just to get a cute here..

  • If it hasn't already been asked, what camera do you use to make your videos?

  • @Nenya0017 Sony 560v

  • @morrowsinkorea Except this one though, I forgot to say. Our newer ones are a Sony 560v, but our older ones such as this one were made with a flip camera.

  • Yeah it's true that it was only $2.00 because she only got her bangs cut and that's all.....styling may cost more!!

  • do you speak korean?

  • you look cuter with bangs. love it

  • Spudgy needs a girlfriend little doggie! 1:30

  • I have heard that lots of salons can't deal with 'non-korean' or 'non-asian' hair, is that true?

  • Good piano music

  • Wow I love your personality. You're such a good character...and cute too... :)

  • 2 dollar to trim your bang is even a ridicualous price for Koreans. Unheard of..I know if you go to Gangnam area there's many hair salons that charge you 200 us dollar for just a hair cut.

So it really depends on where you get it from. BTW love your bangs~!

  • Can you speak Korean? I'm planning to move there after college. :)

  • YESSS I got my bangs cut in Korea for 2000won also :) but straight across! Best choice I made getting my bangs cut in Korea haha

  • I had a haircut like a month or two ago, and it caused me around 30 bucks O_____O hoooooly ~ I think I wanna have my hair done in Korea from now on xDD

  • u should go for the straight across bangs right above the eyebrow next time, it would go well with your face imo.

  • $1.88? Jesus lord mary and joseph why am I not in Korea yet.

  • Hi I am a hairdresser in America and I've been considering moving to Korea (I'm Korean). What worried me was when you said that your haircut was literally $2.00. Even if it was just a bang trim...Can you explain this more to me?

  • @OmgwtfwtfOmg My guess, (and I could be very wrong) is that all the hair dressers are paid by the hour. Also, it's generally considered rude to tip.

  • @OmgwtfwtfOmg

I live in Gunsan and there are tons of females on base and teachers in the city who are terrified to get their hair cut by a Korean hairdresser. In Korea, the hairdresser knows best and may not take your wish into consideration and may cut your hair how they think it will look best, even on base. If you market yourself appropriately to this consumer population, you may be able to raise the rate and do fairly well for yourself.

  • check out my blog: mackgoesmurphy.blogspot.com

  • @OmgwtfwtfOmg i dont think she lives in seoul, in seoul bang trim is around 5,000 won (i got it in myoungdong, i think other residential areas in seoul is a little less than that. for a hair cut, it's 10,000 won (about 10 dollars , no tip of course, they will think i'm crazy if i paid more) in my area, i think the price varies depending on the area (guys are cheaper)

  • @whiteyul Omg...the salon I work at now charges $85.00 for women and $45.00 for men...

  • @OmgwtfwtfOmg she paid $2 because she only got her bangs cut.

  • @OmgwtfwtfOmg my hairdresser, as long as you're a regular client of hers trims bangs for free :) she's also incredibly talented. Never had a hairdresser that paid so much attention to how hair grows out

  • @OmgwtfwtfOmg Sorry to butt in but, it costs 10 dollars for a normal cut for guys. But it hair stuff can go up to 50 bucks depending on your skills and usually rich ppl would use it lol. Labor in Korea is cheaper in the US, but food prices are also cheaper than the US

  • @OmgwtfwtfOmg it just bang trim...nomal hair cut price is not cheaper than U.S

  • I have a friend in Busan, South Korean and American money is worth SO much more then Korean Won. She was only in the US for 2 years. I decided I will go see her this summer. Im going to bring a crap load of money to buy her gifts and treat myself also ^^ Im pretty dang sure I'll have way more than enough

  • looks great! but i think you would also look very nice with full straight bangs. i realized that more bangs hair i have like you bring more hair to the front to make them bangs, the puffier my bangs look and makes it look like you have more volume hair... you should try that! itll look soo cute.

  • $1.88? Korea, here I come! My haircuts cost $35 and I'm a guy. =.=

  • Wow, did she cut them dry? I never see that =D

  • @aralara9 talent.. ;-)

  • @aralara9 lol I cut my bangs dry all the time. you just have to cut them holding the shears vertically to avoid screwing up.

It's actually bad cutting them wet because your hair appears longer wet so you may end up cutting more than you want.

  • @KorXos oh, haha. I've heard that before, but one time I got my hair cut dry initially so I could donate it, and the hairdresser was making a big deal of it, so I thought it was really hard or something ^^~

  • @aralara9 i cut my bangs all the time! ... dry! haha

  • @natalieeeeeeey haha, yeah, I guess I don't know much about haircuts, I was under the impression cutting them dry was a big deal. XD

  • @aralara9 lol xD but its easy ;3

  • I wonder whether you ever felt that you would be refused hair cut because of your race. It's a common fear for Asians, especially for Asian males, in the US.

  • @par418p No, never.

  • @par418p Dude... what the fuck are you talking about? I am an Asian male and I have never had a fear about being refused a hair cut nor have I ever been refused one.

  • @par418p wow, I have never heard that about Asian men in the US before. My Japanese friend told me that in Japan, there are establishments that refuse service to non-Japanese (gaijin). Why do you think Asian men have that fear?

  • WOH! That turned out to be cute. :D

I believe the price. :D I have a Korean book that teaches you in the 2nd chapter how to say "That's too expensive" and to ask for a discount. xD So no doubt they can be all about discounts there.

  • looks good on you~~~~so cute :)

  • $1.88??? how much was the tip then. lol

  • @fennie2578 There is no such thing as tipping in Korea

  • u look so much younger and adorable with bangs!!! :)

  • You look much better with bangs. You look more feminine. You should keep those bangs.

  • hope you film your next cut or trim in the salon you looked lovely

  • i think u totally confused with 20000won and 2000won. u cannot cut ur hair with 1.88 $ in Korea..

  • @Kindapple nope...we paid 2000 won...no confusion

  • @morrowsinkorea really? maybe there was some kind of promotion or u cut ur hair too little? idk cuz Im Korean myself (although left country 6 yrs ago) I couldnt even think of getting haircut for less than 5$ back then and that 'HERA' is actually one of famous salon chain that usually costs over 10$ (probably more expensive for woman). but I mean if u got ur haircut done with 2000won.. then well thats great haha

  • @Kindapple Yeah. It wasn't a full haircut. It was jus getting bangs. It was a great deal though!

  • @Kindapple yeah can't make a living making $2 per customer lol

  • @Kindapple for many foreigners they get discounts or the price is a bit different. and it depends on the neighborhood

  • @Kindapple only for the bangs, it makes sense.

  • Only $1. 88 >8D I think I'll fly over and cut some bangs now

  • The fringe doesn't look that special.. hahha

  • cute

  • you live in korea?? that's awesome!

  • thank you~~

  • Not too shabby! Thanks for taking us along with you on your adventure!
