you can and will get 50 average fps with a gtx 260 core 216 if you have a cpu that doesnt suck ball sack like your phenom 2.8ghz!

to unlock true power of gtx 260 your cpu had to be 3.1 or better ghz or you bottleneck it (for idiots that means you make your card suck more than it should aka slow it down)

so learn your facts before you say shit. :)

@clappy3000 - you might not be able to go to 8xAA but it still should look pretty good - don't forget this is a bench mark - in real game senario I doubt it'd be very smooth at all - look at the FPS counter, most of the time it's well below 20 fps. In-game this would make for a choppy experience. Never the less it's worth a shot.

I have 2x AA and all other setting are maxed. My screen resolution is 1680 x 1050. It is probably running good enough as it is because I cannot tell a dag on bit of difference when AA is on or off.

Is the Far Cry 2 benchmark fucked up or something? I have an E7200,2 GB 800MHz RAM,a GTX 260 Core 216 on standard clock and I once got 105FPS on Ultra high,8xAA,1680x1050 whereas my friend with a E8400 and a GTX 280 SSC from EVGA only gets 89FPS...WTF?

Frap is a program to capture the game while playing it.

if you have 50fps in the game and you start to record yourself, the CPU has to work out and make the video while playing so CPU and mostly Hard Disk performance decreasse a lot. so frap go down by some amount.

put your aa at 2 and you will probbly get 40+ fps out of this, 8 on a game like this or crysis is not possible for good gameplay unless you have a high spec card like a 4870x2 or a 280 / 295 or a sli of any of these cards as it uses so much mem

The framerates you were getting were not very playable. Turn of Anti Aliasing, and you will probably get around 30 fps. Far Cry 2 doesnt really even have jagged edges.

In der Packung war nur ein 6Pol kabel, jedoch sind an der Grafikkarte selbst 2 Eingänge zur Stromversorgung! Muss ich jetzt noch ein 2. Kabel nachkaufen? Aber wenn, warum gibt mir NVidia nicht gleich noch eins mit?!
