I must say, it's really hard to pull off the transformation scene with no animation or special effects...poor beast.

Lots of nasty comments flying - note that the performers were singing to backing tracks (and Belle did her best to keep up with it during her reprise of Home) which here in the UK is *never* allowed (!) and that they are playing 'in the round' (as pointed out by RockinGirl88) which makes any kind of transformation near nigh impossible - note that Disney themselves don't attempt this particular feat! Judged on what it set out to do - entertain both audience AND cast - it succeeded! ;-)

good job for a comm theatre and nice belle. however, i think you need to get a new director..

the beast's performance was really good & gaston didn't over do it with his lines but ther's a lot that couldve been improved. your performances alone were better than many that ppl have the nerve to put up.

Some of you are reading waaaay too in to this, I'm sure it was never meant to rival broadway! Beast actually did a pretty good job, but there wasn't enough in this vid to really declare him a good or bad actor. The transformation was weak, but there wasn't much else they could do in that environment. Belle was really good, and her voice was beautiful. All together I thought they did a great job!

It was so cute and funny when the kids screamed during the fight, I think I heard a baby cry! lol

Great voice...but I would have found a better transformation technique for you...i don't know...maybe if you had died near to a wall, you could have used a lot of smoke and you could have went out from an hole in the wall and a "normal" man would have entered with no one noticing...

I agree we're nearly about to put my High school's version of this out, and our transformation is alot better. I don't know if it's because they dont have the ability to get fog lights and stuff. but i'm not going to tell how we do our transformation. but they have a good castle setup.

Just appreciate the talent before your eyes, why do you have to add quotation marks on "amazing"? I think that Belle sounded marvelous and I'd like to see you perform "amazingly" before saying someone is 'just' good. It may be your comment and I should respect it, but I really hated your manner.

well it is low budget childrens community theatre. I wasn't a fan of it either, but I also didn't have control over it. I actually spun "magically" i guess then we faced back to back, then i spun off stage he spun on stage, you just can't see it in the dark.
