@strongpikin - Can't say I agree with you man (great video though) . It's not like singing - in dancehall pirating another mans whole lyric word for word is about the worst thing you can do. UK mc's were particuarly obsessed with originality. They've actually pirated two different Levi songs here. Can't upload now but the Coughing Up Fire cd is definitely worth buying.
@JigsyB I dissagree, but that's just my opinion. I've worked with Yellowman before and he thinks of lyrics as he goes. I only seen him twice write lyrics. And remember,Yellow was before Papa Levi. Though I'm not taking anything away from Papa Levi. He's wicked!!! But Yellowman is still King.
@KingMellow11 - respect to you and your viewpoint - I'm only talking about this one tune which was definitely Levi's. Remember though that once you've heard someone else's lyric a few times its often easy to recite it without writing it down.
@igamilaz You should read my post again and think about what I'm saying before you reply. Yellowman copied "Gallong" from Levi. This is a fact. I was there when Levi first dropped this in Paddington, London in 1983. It is available on live CD. Other posters here have confirmed this. Whether you think Yellowman is better than Levi or not is a completely different argument. I rate Yellowman highly but he did not originate this tune. I don't feel shame cos I know my musical history - unlike you.
This song was written by Philip "Papa" Levi. He and Yellow got together I think via "Black Echoes" magazine via interview they both gave in the same week.(I have the copy in my loft)
nice video...funny as hell! I'd like to see you do one for Yellowman's "Society Party" or "Grammy Award" or something like that where he mentions a lot of other djs, musicians and politicians....if u have "Galong, Galong, Galong...I think one of those tracks is on that...just a suggestion...keep up the good work!
I agree with kumanimusic,,,cos most of us have difficulty to get concentrated on Jamaican English,so what you did is good cos it open a new way of listening because the images talk its selves...

I think this is embarrassing. Charlie Chaplin at least put his own lyrics to Jah Mi Fear but Yellow is copying Levi word for word.

@JigsyB Hey brotha, that's music. The best copy from the best.
Do you have a copy of Papa Levi's version? Thanks in advance.
