Probably because he isn't into Zepplin, and the fact that Bonham didn't "invent" that. Try looking into any big band drummer from the 40's and you'll see that employed in any drum solos goober.

haha you seem like a cool guy. whenever I do the triple notes, I use left right kick instead of right left. that way you go from high tom, low tom, kick, which i think usually sounds cooler. it's not really noticable though if you play it super fast like you do. nice job!

You should be able to start with every member. (that`s the trick). You can go, Right hand-Lh-foot. Or, Lh-Rh-foot. After you get it right, try playing some progressions with that patern (that`s where the fun lays). Dont forget to master the free and the moeller stroke.

eh a triplet doesn't need a rest to be a triplet, all it is are three notes that are quickly played (usually) and are slurred together...eh check out Tool's Schism, the main riff is a triplet...I can pick out some more...but that comes to mind as that is something I know how to play, and have looked at recently.

I don't think they are 16th's on the bass as 16 is not divisible by 3. But I have no real idea about time signatures, so I could be wrong :P

Those heads look like Remo Pinstripes. Snare could be anything, can't tell :P

no. there's no 16th notes anyway, its 12th notes (triplets). out of every triplet, the first two notes are on a combination of the snare and toms (Grohl changes it around all the time, as you can hear) and the last note is always a bass drum.
