I'm thinking of starting a 29 gallon cichlid aquarium and I just have a few questions. I want to plant my aquarium cause that's the best way I've found to keep the algae from taking over, but do cichlids eat a lot of the plants? Also, I want to get snails to keep the tank clean. I want to et mystery snails that are a little bigger, but will dwarf cichlids still eat those? Any help on these issues is much appreciated.

Hey a few answers:

1. The tank is a Aqua one aquagrande 120-150-180 depending on if it's a 4,5 or 6ft but looks like a 150 (5ft tank) it's got round corners flat glass all round but as you can see

2. The background is blue standard can't be changed or taken off

hello if someone can help me i would really appreciate it my ? is i have an 85 gallon aquarium and i have 17 african cichlids in it i have 5 bumble bee 5 yellow lab 5 aradish i thinks thats what they are and 2 kenyi cichlids are those ok together in this one tank or is it to many right now they all are young they are still in their juvenile stage.

wow beautiful tank, i really like everything you did with it. The bubbles are a little bit too much if you ask me but once the fish grow those bubbles won't be the center of attention anymore so i think it will be fine in the longrun. come check out my tank if you can its kind of similar to yours with the sand and rocks and all.
