You know how to stop them from doing that? It'd probably be at the expense of your own VR, but at least the race would be fair. Follow the cheater and park your kart or bike right where the cheater would jump. It pretty much works no matter who you park in the way, but with a heavyweight, you're less likely to be shoved into the lava and have to repark if the person is persistent. :P

There's a difference between hacks, glitches and shortcuts. Shortcut and in game glitches can be used to your advantage and require skills to preform correctly. It's not cheating. It shows that the person knows his stuff and has skills to back up his claim. Its no different than jumping the wall in Wario's Stadium in N64 days. Hackers on the other hand are 100% noobs spaming blue shells, lightnings, Bullets and just taking the fun away from a fantastic game. I rather do glitches than Hack.

That's not hacking that's a real shortcut you can do!!!!!!! You have to have mushrooms to do it. He just did three laps. All you have to do is drive around the mountain three times and your done. He's not a hacker he's a smart person getting tons of points!

I don't see it as a hacking nor a shortcut of any kind. It's simply just cheating. Over 75% of players over 8500 do this specific cheat, because they think that the rest of the equal ones will do it as well. In order to break it, you have to lap him once more, to get in first place.
Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that is how the glitch works you did not lap him when you finishd your 1st lap he was on his 3rd lap, and when you do the glitch it shows the person that would really be in 2nd in first until the person who did the glitch finishes the 3rd lap.
Sorry but just because you got hit by a blue shell when you were in second doesn't mean it was a cheater I got hit with a blue shell when I was in second on the grand Prix. And that isn't as bad as the time I was comboed. NOTE: The following happened 2 inches from the finish and in about 5 seconds. I got hit with a red shell the while in the air I was hit by a blue shell then shrunk by electricity.

Cheats like this are fun to do on your own or showing your friends. But to do it on the internet is lame. It shows you have no skill to race the right way and win the right way.
This is why I turn around at the start of a Grumble Volcano race when someone picks it. If I see someone going for the glitch, I try to get in their way as much as possible.

The blue shell hit Gamemaster127 because the one who did the shortcut already finished. Since it's pointless to hit someone who has already finished 3 laps, they hit the ones closest to the finish line instead.

It is POSSIBLE to do the Grumble Volcano Ultra Shortcut, no hacks required.
Just as you leave, turn around and fall into the lava.
Then do a trick as you boost from a standing point.
If lucky, you will get on the rock.
Be sure to go around the ridges, one at the starting line, and one where I THINK is where last place starts.
ONLY WORKS ON 150cc, NOT on any other mode.
I recommend small characters.

you get hit with the blue shell even though you aren't in first becasue the 1st place "cheater" already finished, so the blue shells go for whoever is in first but is still racing.

Someone hack a game and everything was mirrored. Even courses your courses. I had to use a glitch my self because I was losing too much VR.

if theres a blue shell and somebody already finished it goes for the person who hasn't finished and is closest to 1st

It's not a hack. It is a glitch shortcut. Electrichotdog needs to lern 2 MKW.
The blue shell hit Gamemaster127 because the one who did the shortcut already finished. Since it's pointless to hit someone who has already finished 3 laps, they hit the ones closest to the finish line instead.

You need to pass the two ridges on the rock. You can't just drive close to the rock all the time.

i know the shortcut. once someone hacked me and i was driving at ds desert hills online and i started second. the race started and directly a blue shell hit the one in first place. then in the next laps i saw explosion after explosion and every time when the explosion was over he was right in there with a star. epic and mysterious, but i got second

@sheikah7 actually, if u jump off the ridge BEHIND the starting line, u end up on the ledge. Mini-turbo off that with careful precision and u will land on the rock
