I'm using guitar rig and I cant get my sound to come out the speakers, I need to wear headphones and plug them directly into the UA-4FX in order to listen...
I have a question. Say I already have a USB mic (blue snowball) Will I be able to record mym snowball the same and not using the xlr or other inputs on the audio interface, will i be able to use the onboard fx in my Daw for whatever channel im using? say i wanted to add the compression effects to my vocal im doing with the usb mic. I know its a long question but its a deciding factor to buy it or not for me.
I hope that you can apply effects to whatever u want.
Do any one know how to set up the advanced mode driver? I already got the latest version of the driver from roland but when I try to use it it makes a lot of scratchy noises when i try to play back any sound from my pc. the nomal mode works ok but I really want to be able to get the advanced mode going so I can record using asio. thank and cheers.
@ajallstar101 Yes. If you have a condenser microphone (or one that connects via XLR cable) you can plugin to the UA-4FX through the XLR input. It's equipped with phantom power for better sound quality.
Well, it depends on What you want to do with it... I use it with a small mixer, a Soundcraft Compact 4 and my Laptop... I's really amazing! The sound of all instruments plugged in the mixer goes straight through the Record Out (Compact4) to the Line In (UA4FX), and the Line Out (UA4FX) to the Playback In (Compact4). The Effects Section is Very Good, as so is the EQ, with Super Bass and Cristal Treble. I'll post a video soon showing my band's Setup...

I have a guitar, a PC and the Edirol UA-4FX. What I have to do, to listen my guitar playing in realtime over the PC-Speakers?
I really don´t get it.

I´ve bought one and have no idea what to do with that thing.
I just want to hear my guitar through the pc speakers (in realtime).
Recording is no problem but i´m not hearing myself when i´m playing.

Can i use the xlr input with sm58? i'm afraid it might damaged the mic since it has a 48v phantom power for condenser mics :(

It shouldn't be a problem. Make sure you turn down the volume before you plug it in.
