  • Why do people mention artists they don't like on other songs? Fucking trolls if you ask me... >.>

  • This is more Classical than any other genre.

  • this is like 2-step garage more then dubstep.

  • @YoMyEx who cares, if its good i will listen to it

  • this is trip-hop.

  • I like how some people say this isn't dubstep. This is really catchy ♥

  • garage beat no?

  • Just because you don't like Burial doesn't mean you automatically like Skrillex. It just means you don't like Burial.

  • why are the last 3 minutes muted?? To recover from the awesomeness of these song?

  • This song can take you to another world, even without the use of drugs

  • 79 haters

  • I've finally found it. The elusive "good dubstep". No wooh woohs or wub wubs, no adderall riddled cutting and mixing, just solid, good shit.

  • @sygnus5 Hey! My adderall riddled mind loves Burial, you asshole >8C

  • depressing shit

how can anyone even like this?

  • @TheSnufking shit? your are sick! .i. shut up

  • @TheSnufking because people have both bright and dark sides, world is never just black or white. When you are sad, you don't want to see people around you having the best time of their lives. And now I mean situations like loss of somebody or broken heart or simply dissapointment at some point of your life. Even when happy this beautifull piece of art can shift you away from this world and let you relax and chill.

  • @vevaygirl well put.

  • @TheSnufking his music is like going into another dimension, you feel like you are walking on the streets of london at night when the city is awake, deep dark alleys of wet dark streets of grimy mysterious feeling of ectasy

  • moenia "no puedo estar" huh? Sounds like burial to me..

  • @AdamX21198 moenia es un asco

  • Can anybody recommend more artists similar to burial? Just been listening to this album on repeat for quite a bit.

  • @Zaphod615 listen to mount kimbie-carbonated good song

  • @Zaphod615 Search for Hyperdub records on Google. I suggest you also Flying Lotus (different but very talented).

  • For those of you who say this is 2-step, you're only half right. This is dub reggae and 2-step, thus, dubstep, in its original form. Modern dubstep uses a lot more wobble and heavy drops, and has evolved that way just because people kept adding onto it. Burial is still dubstep though, you can't deny that fact.

  • @Shadeinfinite phaleh

  • @StreetFighterFanClub this comment is so fail it would be perfect satire, but no one is ever that witty are they :|

  • okay, it may not be 'dubstep' but its still amazing, this is what dance music is all about, rather than that shit people like skrillex and borgore claim to be 'dubstep'. its people like burial that keep me listening to this sorta music rather than completely moving over to drum and bass like i am atm. Thank you burial.

  • /watch?v=GPwxp2uznps

  • Remove the - Dubstep part from this name -.-

  • @SelfrotDnBFreak Real talk dude, i saw Burial and Dubstep together and jizzed a lil'

  • Look guys, it's not brostep, and it's not skrillex, so it's worth a listen.

  • @990aj I agree, it's even on /mu/ essentials, but as electronic

  • i like music =)

  • oh who cares bout genres just chill and enjoy the tunes man'....

  • i consider this dubstep because when this came out in 2007 it was considered dubstep.

  • @Timmytoga two step

  • maybe it's just me but I really don't see the point of these discussions. actually it's funny to see how some people try to convince others with their opinion. if you really want to discuss things, you should first of all accept that not everyone thinks in the same way and therefore people have different opinions. if you're willing to accept that you should learn to respect other people's opinion. but while typing this I realize that I'm trying to convince others of my opinion. well what ever

  • @RiotAngel13 too rite mate

  • i don't care what it is listen to it and stfup

  • As someone who just started listening to skrillex and burial, relatively at the same time.....I SAY.....they're both good, I FUX WIT IT ALL YO :D. as long as the music is good i'll listen. doesn't matter what 'genre' it is doesn't matter. GOOD music is GOOD music.

  • This is gay. Skrillex is gay. Everything is gay. Gaystep gayness is gay. Wubwubwubwub gaygaygay.

  • @jwatson626 blatant troll is blatant

  • ugly cry in a good way though...

  • I remember listening to this back in 2008 for the first time and not having to read ANY comments about skrillex or anyone else at the time....it was nice back when skrillex music did not exist. *sigh*

anyway, BURIAL FUCKING RULES AND THIS SONG MAKES ME UGLY CRY WHEN I PMS.

  • so sad how dubstep has changed. i feel like you can't change the name of music from the past so modern dubstep should be called something else, just because this stuff was first, even though it's not really what dubstep is now. i guess it's called evolution.

  • @AirsoftAttack231 listen to james blake, mount kimbie, countless others, burial pretty much started this whole "post dubstep" movement

  • @DroiidLife GTFO

  • Burial kinda reminds me a bit of Massive Attack now that I think about it.

  • @gisellecelestine check out "4 Walls" by Massive Attack and Burial :)

  • music is changing, kids are changing, they're both getting worse

  • are burial songs are very good wtf

  • You know what, I'd love to find out what is the style of music where you wont find people arguing about it on youtube.

  • @efsq trance music and old school rave. nobody argues on those, except when new school kids come in and try to start stuff. Usually nothing but love there.

  • This is dubstep. The new "dubstep" is just retarded

  • This is such a chill track. I just felt a yearning to here a drop or 2 after a few build ups. But like life there are immense build up's followed by complete let downs I wonder if this what was tryin to be captured?

  • The depth and richness of Burial's production is amazing, emotion pours out of every second. Don't care what genre it is.....

  • ALL 71 OF U LOT THAT DISLIKED THIS TRACK CAN GO SUCKK OUT!! THIS IS MAGIC!

  • @bpdubstep ofc there were modulated "wobbly" basslines, but not as they're today, they were perhaps a part of the song, now they are the whole fucking song

  • @CrackenMusic Wobbles do play an important role in dubstep. Don't forget that dubstep is based off of 2-Step and garage, and garage had it's fair share of wobbles. Check out Flat Beat by Mr Oizo or some of El-B's garage stuff. Benga's old stuff had wobbles, when dubstep didn't even reach mainstream popularity. Same goes for Kromestar, Skream and D1. But, I'm not saying wobbles are necessary; if that was true, then most of Darkstar's music wouldn't even be considered dubstep.

  • @Blarbling However his music /is/ considered dubstep because it still has the elements that actually make the genre dubstep. Stop being a bloody hipster.

  • @Blarbling But modern dubstep uses never ending wobbles, and endlesslessless bass drops...

It's just not necessary and sounds like trash.

  • @tteotdead I agree, but you missed my point entirely. CrackenMusic said that there were absolutely no wobbles when dubstep first began as a genre, I was just saying he was wrong.

  • This is Drum and Bass @twhitmore92 ; faggot.

  • @cabm991 lol go listen to skrillex ugly yank, its DUBSTEP, and you don't know shit about this genre,

  • this is just like garage! the older brother to dubstep!

  • Isnt dubstep, sounds like they're trying to make wierd instrumental hippie music. Minus using real instruments, like a djembe, guitar, and whatever else the stoned musicians pick up

  • fuck sake this aint dubstep, its ambient style 2-step garage, its so simple.... its like calling mozart's work jazz....

and before some smart arse 17-yr old stoner says 'oh who cares bout genres just chill and enjoy the tunes man'....

you can appreciate music in the same way you can appreciate books AND have an idea whether they're thrillers or non-fiction... stop acting like intelligence is uncool

i rest my case amigos x

  • @twhitmore92 You're fucking retarded. That wobwobwobwob brostep didn't exist back when dubstep originated. The stuff today is nearly a different genre.

  • @Apclear yeh... its ambient garage you tosser i pointed that out... jesus learn to read

  • @Apclear btw where u from man? i live like half an hour from london where dubstep and garage were invented so i might have some idea....

  • @twhitmore92 dubstep was created in croydon you faggot

  • @ohnanasuckmydick croydon is in london you stupid nob!! your such a confused little cunt take ur shit outta here

  • @Apclear Burial: Dubstep before it was dubstep.

  • @Apclear dubstep is like metal in the early days diversifying fast we may need to identify the subgenres, like this, the style the artists like mt eden, use and what ever the hell skrillex is

  • @duchashes also artists like skrillex are the reason why dubstep is going mainstream..

skrillex is a subgenre which means it isnt 100% dubstep.. so it is more likely to make it to the mainstream media like mtv or the radio which it has by the way... also skrillex used to be in a band before he became a dubstep producer so he already had fans... by the way i dont like skrillex

  • @bluntTHATbitch I'm sorry... what is 100% dubstep? Who gets to decide that?

  • @Apclear i agree, i like both :)

  • @twhitmore92 YOU BEST BE TROLLIN NIGGAH

  • @twhitmore92 Omg, I cannot believe you are that stupid, Origional dubstep is based on Reggae Music like this which was soley Rythm based like this, the type of dubstep your talking bout is called heavy dubstep with wobbles and shit. Without this there would be no Heavy Dubstep. And also, if it's so simple, why aren't you fucking wadded like Burial making cash from making so "simple" music

  • @hTbmust WOW, you really are amazingly stupid. This is 2-step garage, it sounds similar to dubstep because the "step" in dubstep comes from it's 2-step garage origins much like the "dub" comes from the dub-raggae origins. To the unknowing ear it sounds the same, but to someone who knows their shit it is completely different. If I were you I wouldn't go around talking shit on people who obviously know much more then you do little boy.

  • @BAXTSPRCHRGD Ha who are you calling little boi, who do you think you are you arrogant little prick "The unknowing ear" I can bet my house, cause I have one unlike you who probably still lives with parents, I know far more bout this topic than you, how old are you like 16 and badman, trying to be all cool thinking you know, when you clearly don't, U American?

  • @hTbmust LMFAO. Calling me 16 when your channel CLEARLY states that you are 16. I don't live with my parents (unlike you) I live in an apartment. I'm not "trying to be all cool" facts are facts and this song is garage. I'm not even close to being a yank. I bet you don't walk around talking to people older and smarter then you the way you do on youtube. No of course not, otherwise you would catch a cold. Mate just because you live close to Croydon doesn't make you an expert on dubstep.

  • @BAXTSPRCHRGD Ha, true I'm 16 but when your 6 foot 7 and are playing England under 19 rugby you can call me a little boi. So where you from Canada?

  • @hTbmust Keep on spinning those lies little guy. How do you figure that canadians aren't close to being americans?

  • @hTbmust get out more you twat

  • @twhitmore92 Can I say I Love you? Cause... Yeah.

  • @twhitmore92 WOB WOB WOB SKRILLEX FAN ALERT!!!

  • yeh....... cunt alert

  • @twhitmore92 you sound like the smart arse that doesn't know what he's talking about, "amigo" x

  • @TelevisedChaos by pointing out this is 2-step, bit out of ur depth senorita :S x

  • @twhitmore92 Did you just call me a chick? LOL

  • @twhitmore92 You are so wrong that it makes me angry

  • @twhitmore92 You just took that from Wikipedia. Congratulations. Funny how Wikipedia also says dubstep, but you chose to ignore that part.

  • @Skeletine its not a dubstep beat, simple as that. jog on tosser

  • @twhitmore92 Humor me. What's a dubstep beat. Is there a rock n roll beat? Can music only be rock n roll if it all has the same beat?

  • @twhitmore92 holy shit you are the worst kind of idiot

  • @twhitmore92 Holy shit, you are actually retarded. I'm not going to say anything else. You need to read up on shit before you post things.

  • @twhitmore92 oh who cares bout genres just chill and enjoy the tunes man....

  • @cbeggs64 Because people are mixing Shitstep with other genres, soon people will make a copy of the genre Burial and make it as shitty as Shitstep. Dubstep is; Benga nad Coki, why? BECAUSE THEY MADE IT, same as Burial made Burial. And it's onyl a matter of time before someone will copy it and make it... Shitty

  • @twhitmore92 in one way I agree, and in another way I disagree :S I'm equal

  • Great tune!

  • True Dubstep.....Dubstep for body and mind..*Quivers.*

  • I hate the wub-wub-wub shit, but this stuff is pretty good.

  • This is less like an evolution of dubstep and more like a return to its roots... When Benga and Skream took garage and screwed the shit out of it

  • I have arose from the pile of wobble crap. First time listening to Burial.

  • This is simply amazing work,so much emotion and feeling deliverd through this,im a producer of "Modern" dubstep my self, but i must admit, this is simply amazing.

  • real dubstep not nonstop no key wobble shit

  • 2 step, not dubstep, learn, ya hur

  • Only 240p ;_;

  • O' my lord it's so good.

  • If this was a cake it wouldn't be a lie

  • I've listened to dubstep with lots of wobble in it. I don't like this at all.

  • @batterboyke lol mainstream = better, good one

  • dam this shit goes right into you and pushes your body into the floor.

  • Comment removed

  • has any one hear heard of UK garage

  • awesome deep tune

  • this feels more like house

  • WHERE THE F IS THE DROP

  • @batterboyke noob

  • @batterboyke Don't worry, your balls will drop one day.

  • @batterboyke epic noob!

  • @SmokeyJoekIng

i am a noob cause i like a drop? FY mainstreamhaters, blablabla i listen original dubstep blabla, u know why they call it the MAINstream? cause thats what most people listen to, so it's better :)

  • @batterboyke no your a noob for expecting a drop back in the day there was no epic drops, dont get me wrong i like new dubstep aswell...i even like skrillex :O but people should go back to the roots of the music like burial, skream , benga and even mt.eden they are the one who will be remember in years to come!

  • @batterboyke The common man is a fool.

  • @batterboyke so by your logic mc donalds is better than a 5 star restaurant?

  • @battelman97

Yep, but that hasnt got anything to do with this...do you have to pay for this music directly? nop. Do you have to pay for mcdonalds/5-star restaurant? Yep. there's your answer ^^

  • Burial has 1 hell of a creative mind. The way he constructs his tracks and the sounds he uses. Genius!

  • whos moenia?

  • pshh i don't give a shit about genre any more I just listen to a tune an if i like it .. i add it to my playlist an enjoy it whenever i feel like it.. I honestly couldn't give a shit about the genres anymore xD

  • @MaibeTori you are very right

  • BORINGGG. :( BOXCUTTER FOR THE WIN

  • so is this technically dubstep? i thought dubstep was "classified" by its wobbles and whatnot.

  • @ClutchG69 i dont even know wha this is, to me its closer to that garage/future garage, but really fuck genres, also dubstep stuff is usually characterized by half times drums at 140 bpm, with taht steppy feeling, but who knows, this shit is retardedly progressive tho. this shit actually reminds me of moombahton also, the drums that is

  • @ClutchG69 when dubstep was born, there were no wobbles at all.

  • @CrackenMusic

That's because that wobble shit isn't dubstep

  • @CrackenMusic yea man the wobbles were created because the bass was sooooo phat!!! Now they add in the wobbles and lots of unnecessary noise! Burial will always be a legend!

  • @CrackenMusic The downfall of new dubstep will be wobble overdose. they bury themselves in shit bass frequencies they can't get out of. THANKS skrillex. AHA he's such a sell out hipster...

  • @ClutchG69 this is proper dubstep not that other shit this is what made dubstep! amazing!

  • @WiFEYWiSDOM actually this is more like garage or 2 step then dubstep, but none the less its epic!!

  • @TrollGang this is no where near garage but everyone has there own opinion

  • @WiFEYWiSDOM and thanks your respecting it

  • Comment removed

  • Nobody will remember skillrex or nero or any of them in five years ..Burial music will remain beautiful forever ..word

  • @astormoverme anything on metalheadz aswell

  • This is great baked. So dreamy.

  • This is probably one of the only good dubstep songs I have ever heard.

  • @TheHipHopSamurai1

    douche.

  • i would have thought its more 2-step garage

  • dude, i am sorry i dont know what everyone is talking about... this music suckss...

  • @Dukenukem812 I found it a bit hard to get into this track as well, but now, about 4 minutes in, I love it. It's one of those music types you might need to hear more than once to like.

  • @Dukenukem812 You suck.

  • @Dukenukem812 +1 it does suck lol, haters gonna hate.

  • @Dukenukem812 try the mainstream stuff like skrillex

  • It goes right into my soul & tear me apart.

  • Dub step is a form of club music; but Dub isn't all about bass; drop; and wobble. What Burial is trying to prove is that you can make a DnB song that doesn't need bumps. I listen to many types of artists like Skrillex, Mojo, and Psyman. Every DnB artist is unique in their own style of what you would call "Dub" To me this is a purity within the "Dubstep" society. A style of music which has been found by a curious musician.

  • @aznjamboi the songs sounds like trip hop

  • @aznjamboi Burial is proving nothing he just makes shit that he likes, like every artist does ;)

  • This is REAL dubstep... Bassnectar and all of these other mainstream artists are good, but the drop and wobble gig is real unoriginal. I have been listening to burial and like artists for a while... so much better. Amon tobin is still my fave lol.

  • @Miskingo um the drop and wobble is 'real unoriginal' ? bitch pwease. What is REAL dubstep?

I don't see a point in dissing other artists / groups just coz you like this genre better. I like Burial AND Bassnectar, Nero, Skrillex etc, and I honestly would not compare Burial to any of them because it's completely different.

  • so much soul... why dont you all shut the fuck up and appreciate the music... brostep is good for rolling and dancing, this is good for toking and chilling. go snort shit if you're gunna be an elitist bitch. music is art. your literally arguing about artistic preference.

  • this is awesome, original and emotional, but wouldn't call it dubstep. what a cool back-story burial has!

  • Where the fuck was the drop and wobble!?

  • @TheIronEagle14 Im sure you can create some woobles with your asshole, but Burial creates some brilliant music, no shitty drop and ugly wobble here, sorry.

  • @deaconbluesful I could drop my ugly dick into your wobblehole.

  • @TheIronEagle14 hahahaha this was the first comment that i saw when i scrolled down, and it was just too perfect.

  • @kieffo25 Lmao

  • @TheIronEagle14

you don't get shit about dubstep, do you?

  • @AnRTPgA You don't
